Thanks Gary, I have maintained it well. Its done 94000 miles though and is 8 year old so nice to not have anything wrong on it:)

I know this is the wrong forum but my Vectra passed its mot today with no issues. After what I've spent on the zed this year I'm really chuffed as its one less thing to worry about! Fingers crossed the Zed passes next month! :)

Got my mot to sort in Jan then respray in March... If all goes to plan it should be ready for the start of April. Fingers and toes crossed!!

Went up to see my dad on Sunday to take him some petrol and some food... He lives near Morecombe. Although his village hasn't flooded most places around it had which made it difficult to get to his.... took me nearly 3 hrs to complete a journey that only normally takes 45 mins. Had to go old school aswell and use a map as my sat nav was trying to get me to drive up the flooded roads! Was crazy up there, he had no electricity for 4 days but I feel so sorry for all those that have lost their houses it must be awful. :ohmy:

I agree, the world has changed alot in the last 20yrs. They used to design cars starting with a blank canvas, that's why they all looked so different and interesting. Nowadays, there are do many restrictions on how it can look down to safety etc. Most cars look pretty similar now. I also agree with what TheRealNips said earlier... It was about power, now its about economy. Both these things are the right way to go to a point... I don't like it anymore than anyone on here but the days of crazy gas guzzling cars are dying. Even the way they advertise cars now is depressing... Most of you must have watched the top gear Peugeot special where they were looking at the old vs new adverts? The old 205 gti advert was exciting, nowadays all you get is a boring finance/ fuel and go advert... Most of the time the car is stationary now. I'm only 31 but I seriously miss "the good old days!" :)
