  1. I've got a "large" dinitrol kit waiting to go on mine too. :)
  2. R32 gtr brakes are sumitomo. R32 gtr vspec are brembo with 324mm diameter 30mm thick discs. R33 gtr brakes are the same. R34 gtr brembos aren't the same, since the discs are 32mm thick and the caliper mounting bolt holes are 2mm wider. I've also heard some late r34 gtr's came with larger rear discs, but not sure how true that is.
  3. Don't worry, they hardly ever actually manage to sell their cars on anyway. It's all just *****cks for TV.
  4. I'm sure they wouldn't have. And even if they did, have you seen the state of some club "specialists" work? Just because someone onba forum says something is okay, doesn't automatically mean it's right. Welding thin flanges and putting one bolt through each end isn't anywhere near as strong as it would have been if they'd left it alone. Didn't even cap the cut ends off, so now all that structural metalwork can rot away from the inside out. Best bit is they already had the rear clamshell, intercooler, exhausts and turbos off the car, so would have been easy to just do the job properly and pull the engine out to change it without impacting the structural rigidity of the car.
  5. Although feedback is a good idea in theory, in practice it can't work on forums since the admin don't want to be liable for what's been said. Also, forum admins are open to be biased, often brushing things under the carpet. That's not a dig at just this place, but forums in general. For example, I know of numerous traders who have done some scary and downright dangerous work, but I get lynched for even having a problem with cars being dangerous. I won't get into it on here, wasted too much time doing that in the past, and somehow I end up being in the wrong for having a problem with particular specialists who really should have known better. Like I say, it unfortunately doesn't work, though in an ideal world it should. It really needs to so that others don't give their hard earned to make their cars into deathtraps, but it's near impossible on public forums for the reasons above and most of the other posts made in this thread too. Don't worry, this is all I'll say on it, since I know it'll just happen again if I keep talking about it.
  6. Ugh, predictive text. For, not fort. :)
  7. Don't suppose I could trouble you fort some links to said bulbs? Or I get some off you if I ever pay you a visit?
  8. Ah, so they add a stronger spring. Thanks. Cheers, are there any identifying marks showing what they are? My car started off as an auto, but they've been changed or upgraded at some point. The history only says "360 degree turbos" though, so I've got no idea what it has.
  9. How are you making the reverse lights that bright Andy? Is it just decent led bulbs, or are you modifying the units too?
  10. How are the stock recircs uprated, and what's the difference between auto and manual turbos?
  11. They lie, end of story. That skyline they did for example never sold, it was broken for parts before the show even aired. I had the headlights off it and onto my car in time to see them on TV. No way in hell the previous owner of that rx7 bought it back for double the money either. Especially when you look at the state they left it in. I don't mind Ed, but can't stand Mike and the majority of the show is *****cks.
  12. Pretty sure you can still back off the throttle in an auto, just saying. ;) I quite like the sound of them, but on AFM equipped cars they do normally cause problems, so I wouldn't. My car came with some fitted, they're coming off.
  13. They're just recaro speed seats with Tommy kaira embroidered into them.
  14. I used to work at Mercedes when those first came out, shocking build quality in the past 15 years or so. Those SL55's used to set fire to themselves once the manifolds were hot enough, since the hydraulic lines for the active body control ran too close to them. There was a recall for it, and the fix was to use a crowbar to pry them further away.
  15. You'd also need the licence plate bracket, some side markers to fill the holes up, a rear foglight located elsewhere, and obviously the Japanese size plate. There foam behind the bumper is also different, buy you'd be able to just modify yours if needed.
  16. I'm talking about Japanese size plates in general mate. ;)
  17. Okay, shows it was special enough for people to bring even more over then. And shows it's one of the ones hand picked to be brought over.
  18. The UK plate makes it look boring, since the majority of other cars on our roads have exactly the same. The import plate however sets it apart, rarer and showing it was special enough to be imported in the first place. :)
  19. I was going to make a joke about rust being a good visual identifier of a UK spec zed too, but I'd be one to talk given the amount of rust that's been chopped out of my import. :(
