I havent heard of this show, where is it, when is it? When I google, all I can find is an australian jap car parts shop and a farcebook group
  6. This is a plan to meetup en route to the Simply Japanese event. Simply Japanese is being held on SUNDAY 24TH JULY at Beaulieu - details here.... Simply Japanese | 24th July 2022 | Beaulieu, National Motor Museum We have a club stand booked - currently for 10 cars - but can alter that up to two weeks before the show by contacting the organisers. We will be starting at Polegate Cophall roundabout petrol station at 05:30 and using the A27/M27 corridor to go to the Tesco in Applemore on the edge of the New Forest. This has a large car park to meet more members of the club coming from other parts of the country, it also has a petrol station. The store won't be open as its a sunday so no need to worry about parking. In recent years other clubs have started to use this as a meeting point; the supra club, the subaru, the 350Z club to name but a few. It ends up being a small mini car meet before we drive over to Beaulieu in convoy. The drive is two hours from Polegate to Applemore, so should get there around 7.30 to allow 30-45 minutes before driving over to Beaulieu and joining the queue when they allow access at 08:30. If you want to meet up along the route (A27/M27) let me know, I can create a whatsapp group and share my location while I'm driving so you can track our progress and catch up to us. I do not touch my phone while driving, so once we have left, I will be uncontactable until we reach Applemore. A few rules: Tesco have never stopped us from using their car park or complained, as it is a great meeting point with petrol on tap we don't want to lose it, so please, no donuts, burnouts, etc. The New Forest has wild animals, ponies, horses, deer, rabbits, honey badgers... please follow all speed limits and refrain from being silly Inside Beaulieu, once parked up, please leave engines off. They have neighbours and need to keep the noise to a minimum.
  7. Action man or Indiana Jones?! After the roadtrip I feel more like Indiana jones!
  8. Day 6 is ready to watch
  9. Thanks everyone! Im sad to say, Im leaving the 300zx community.....I got given a supra yesterday....
  10. Day 5 is here! 237 miles total. Started in the morning with Wrynose and Hardknott passes, then a bit of M6, into Wales and down the Barmouth. So much good footage from this day, it was hard trying to choose and not make an hour long video!
  11. How are you guys finding the videos? How about the quality? I have found when I watch them back on youtube after uploading, they still are not as good as my original. @JaiKai Lee if you want the originals for the website, let me know. So far they are about 1.7GB @ianl@RichardS I can supply the originals for the TVs at this years NEC if wanted Ill do another video tomorrow, as going out for dinner tonight for my birthday!? Also thank you to the two people who subscribed to my channel on youtube, now I have 3! ? My first subscriber was my wife ?
  12. Day 4 is here!
  13. Video of Day 3 is here! Day 3 was up to John o Groats, then along the NC500 route to Ullapool, down to Loch Ness and finish at Fort William. However best laid plans and all that....
  14. Video of Day 2 is here! This day was all the way up the A9. A mix of dual and single roads. The last 50-odd miles into Wick were amazing, twists and turns, over hills, along the coast, well worth doing if you can as it forms part of the NC500! Please try watching on a big screen with good sound as I have tried to preserve the quality again.
  15. Video of Day 1 is here! This day was all motorway driving, so I tried to capture the excitement of starting the car for the first time for a roadtrip and the motorway crusing as a bit of a montage... p.s Try and watch it on a big screen with good sound for the (hopefully) best experience. It will be a bit blurry in a few places as I had to use software to zoom in. On our first day we didnt realise how close we needed to be to the GoPros to get close up shots
  16. Thanks guys! It been a really good trip! The weather in Scotland wasnt ideal (as you will see from the GoPro footage) but it was worth it and the weather got better and better as we headed south. Here are some stats for the trip: Mileage is slightly off because this is from my fuel app and I didnt fill up when I got home, but total was 2311 for me (Eastbourne to Eastbourne). The mpg was pretty good, the 9th, 10th and 11th were mostly spent on motorway driving up to Wick so were just cruising, but apart from about 200 miles of motorway, the rest of the trip was A and B roads. I was impressed with @Aff68 car, although modified and tuned, it didnt drink much more than mine. Whenever we dicussed tank levels, his needle was only a few millimetres lower than mine. Hopefully this can be a good guide to someone else planning/budgeting for a roadtrip in the future. Im now going to start editing the videos and hoping to release a couple over the weekend for you guys!
  17. Happy belated Birthday!

  21. Day 8 (240 miles) = last day for us if you don't include driving home tomorrow. We are in Clutton just south of Bristol, going to head through Cheddar and the along the North Devon and Cornish coast to lands end. It is a glorious morning, the cars decided that they wanted to talk face to face last night...
  22. Made it to Clutton! Guess who we saw today! Airbnb is amazing And the girls are sleeping and a bit dirty ?
