Yep me too - jay any more info on those ideas you had at the last one?
  8. IIRC that's where the F-expensive ABS unit is (over a grand new). Hopefully it's something like a connector, fluid or something rather than the unit. Look at the online manual and/or parts fiche for more info. Good luck!

  15. If I'd wanted a tarted-up Peugeot, I'd have bought one. :( I mean, look, what the f*** is that vent in front of the rear wheels for? Rear-engine and mid-engine cars, fair enough. But on a front-engined car? Pointless toss. It's the equivalent of saying "look, I have a tiny willy and want to make up for it by tossing all over my car" awful awful awful I know, lets go down and spray paint the Sistine Chapel 'cos it's looking a bit boring and blutack a bigger willy on Michelangelo's David.

Mark, that's a real p*sser. I am sorry for the pair of you. And the maniac canine. Putting the personal nightmare aside, can I say that Outlander Motorsport was a pleasure to deal with, gave good service and advice, and I hope it will be possible for you to come back again quickly. If you need a business reference, you only have to ask.

  18. That's why privacy glass is a pain! A triumph of bling over function. Do a search on Bose 300ZX on google - there's a lot of mis-information running round. If I knew then what I know now, I would have had my original Bose repaired / restores instead of blithely ripping it out. Your choice, but get readup on it first. Propshaft vibes can usually be be felt by putting your hand on the transmission tunnel. So if you're not getting that, it's probably something else. Bubbly spoiler means it's waterlogged and not worth repainting. I got a repro OEM from http://www.zcentre.com and he also has a lot of other options from smoothing the whole thing out to stuff that looks as if it should be airborne. Standard boost guage is only a vague indication. You should get a full boost leak test from a specialist. Who should also pull the codes from the ECU or do a ConZult at the same time. Doesn't have it as standard (except that five digit lever on the end of your right leg) HTH - welcome to the madhouse - Gio the Luddite
  19. quite right. Here is what God intended the Z to look like: silver, right spoiler, 2+2, proper grey colour strip on front bumper, 300zx.co.uk stickers all present and correct :D In general, not f***ed around with. (except for the wheels - not quite right there :) oh, and lose the nismo stickers, there's a good lad :p and if you wanted to go clear side repeaters, that's an Almighty-approved mod) Cheers - Gio Member of the Luddite Tendency and all-round BOF
  20. hahaha  just the job for a Friday - can't decide which one was worst. The porker, maybe? Or that Primera?
  21. That car still holds the Sports Sedan lap record at Bathurst. Since 1992! http://scs.une.edu.au/StudentFiles/HomePages/174_96/Bathurst/TheTrack.html Only 6 secs slower than a McClaren F5000 FFS!
  22.
  23. that'll buff right out... (well, in the absence of Mike Duffy, someone had to!) Glad you're OK kevinc - that's the most important thing. Oh, and DaveC's quite right. I had mine written off, bought it back and repaired. If you do the same, you'll not regret it. "Save the Zed" is my motto!
  24. hmmm ... you're right. More later. Maybe a zillion zedders made it fall over or maybe it fell over by itself. I'll post anything interesting if I can find out...
  25. I asked the person I got it from and he says he'd have to kill me first!
