Z Specialist New Forest?
Some are not good, for sure, but some are top banana - mine's been going to Dan Perkins in Slough since Aug 1999 and their servicing is just fine.

DREADFUL fuel consumption
Worst case 17mpg which is traffic jam stop start, best case 23mpg which was mixed motorway 70/80 and commuting. On long, higher speed motorway cruising, around 20mpg. One of the benefits of unmodded, no boost jets or controllers etc... :D

Not happy!!
Thank buddha for that. Sorry you have to go through this hassle but at least you'll get all your bits sorted :hyper: Oneday (Outlander Motorsport) says he's got a good paint/bodyshop west London / Hayes ish if you need one.

Lights - Convert Dip to left from right
My old Calibra had a little switch on each headlight which did this (very handy it was too). But that's rare - most headlights are "handed". This is to do with the little Fresnel lenses which are moulded into the inside of the glass. Some go left and up and some go right and up (the light pattern they throw, I mean). LHD > RHD (and RHD > LHD) converters only block the bit of the lens which does the "and up" bit. So you can do a temp bodge by sticking a sticker (either a bought one or masking tape if you know which bit of the Fresnel to mask) over your headlight. It is probably more true to say this converts RHD to flat (or LHD to flat) rather than RHD > LHD. But if you want to really convert LHD > RHD (i.e a light pattern which kicks up to the right converted to one that kicks up to the left) you can only change the lens (which in our case means the headlight) or buy a Calibra. LHD = drive on the right = dip is horizontal across the road to the left (so not to blind oncoming traffic on your left) and kicked up on the right (so you see the ditch / pedestrian). RHD = drive on the left = dip is horiz on the right and kicked up on the left. Cheers - Gio the physicist

Lights - Convert Dip to left from right
Hi Bix, I found some converters to do RHD to LHD and they say they do the same in the other direction. Of course it's only temporary but it might get you through. Here's my RHD Z dressed up for French motoring I got them from http://www.travel-spot.co.uk/products/eurolites.htm

Club Membership Secretary Election Result
Listen, I don't eat breakfast and I don't like that sort of thing being forced down my throat. I want to know what you're going to do to widen the choice of calorific intake later in the day - or even at night? (Congrats to both for being involved)

Why is this car important?
Nope - as you can see from the crew names. But close enough, give this man a ceeegar  Mr K was the marketing exec who pushed for Nissan to enter the Mobilgas - their first Rally. He got the job of running the team. And they won their class! Without this car, that team and their win, no Zeds....

Fairlady sticker
Just to let you know that the black area on which the Fairlady sticker sticks is itself a sticker. Not paint.

Why is this car important?
That's quick! A good start but not the whole story... And the real reason why it's important?

http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnetfaq/FAQpages/bov.html blow-off valves are the same as dump valves and neither are as good as OEM recircs for performance (unless you are 5-600hp)

Help On UK Visor Vote
In addition, you may like to use this site. But don't spray wild abuse - that will just get you ignored. A sane reasoned argument like what is on the visor site is much more likely to get your opinion noticed instead of binned. http://www.faxyourmp.co.uk/

Legalising German Spec 300zx TT for UK
I know exactly what you mean. But (mostly) you should be able to pick up a good one from a member here or at http://www.zclub.net I suppose you could bring yours over temporarily (I think you can for 6 months - info on the same link as before) while you locate the right LHD. Good luck whatever ;)

less mass to rotate = less power absorbed during acceleration = quicker pickup. Allegedly. :D

Legalising German Spec 300zx TT for UK
Registration process is here http://www.dvla.gov.uk/vehicles/exptimpt.htm Don't think you've got a problem - it's a German spec (and over 10 years old) so won't need SVA - just MOT. http://www.motuk.co.uk/welcome.htm But have you thought about selling it in Germany and buying a RHD one here? I used to drive an LHD car (not a Z) over here and found it a PITA
