  2. b19rks replied to a post in a topic in General Discussions - Non 300ZX
Dicky temp sensor shrimpbean???;) :p Its -2437*c in Nuneaton, so no doubt its too cold for snow, having said that at least the local council is too tight to grit:D so the roads are good for sideways!:D
  3. Macca while you got that engine out you can get your big hands in there and give it a good clean!!!
  4. Shouldnt be too difficult id of thought, all you need to do is splice the shift lock wire, and theres only a couple of wires in there i think, one for the o/d and the other for the shift lock. I would do it if i were you, as it not only stops you leaving it in drive it also stops the car running away if you leave a passenger in it and they knock it into drive, as if any gear is selected it cuts the engine. As for the leaving it in drive and getting out, you cant do it can you? cos you cant get the keys out!!!!
  5. No not at all, so long as you like RUST!!!:D :D ;)
  6. Found the pic, but its useless, cant see the wires:(
  7. Might be worth cleaning the TB's out while youre in there, a bit of crap stuck in the openy closey bit can cause an eratic tickover.
  8. It comes off the bottom of the gear stick (oops, was stating the obvious there!!;) ) Hang on a mo, ive got a pic of mine with its knob off, ill go find it!
  9. Yeah, well done mate, I reckon you should of kept quiet and no one except me would of noticed as i reckon ive been the only one on here in the past few days;) Even shrimpos not posted much...... .....santa must have bought him something good!!:D ;) :p
  10. I think my stock guage works perfect on this zed, the one on my old zed harly worked at all. Mine is in weird jap scale but if you start it from cold it goes to half way on tick over and upto 3/4 when a little load is applied, i drive like a girl until its warm so ive never seen it go over 3/4. Once it is warm, on tick over its about the quarter mark, going up to the half way point and a bit beyond when some wellly is applied. Anyone know a conversion ratio from the j spec to uk??
  11. A DVD player for my bedroom........ ....unfortunatly the telly in my room hasnt got a scart lead, so now ive got to spend hundreds on a new TV (money that should be spent on the zed! ). I got No Zed related presents either:mad:
  12. I'll have to try it, but does it last as well as autoglym, one great thing about autoglym is that if you keep it out of the dust it keeps bright for ages and doesnt fade as some polishes do. In my opinion it would be very hard to beat autoglym, but ill give it a go!
  13. 18 months for me:D Well 20 if you include the first one:rolleyes:
  14. Was looking out of the window at work at my zed, admiring how clean she was looking, when i noticed that she had grown a bigger rear spoiler, and new wheels, and turned into a uk model!!! Then realised I wasnt looking at mine!! another one had parked one space up from mine!!! What a great sight!! So if it was you with the Red UK TT with the private plate, parked on the corner of walsgrave road/ church lane at about 11.30 this morning (X-mas eve), next time, pop your head into motormania and say hello and ill keep the local kids off your dustcaps for ya!!!! :D ;)
  15. And to you Matty young man, and all the other 300zx.co.uk'ers!!!;) Ho Ho Ho
  16. Well done Stu, That one played great on my media player so didnt need the divx;) ..... ....you must of used your special recipie for this one!!:D ;)
  17. If you have both bits of the steel tube you could try sticking/bonding it back togther!! Stupid as it sounds, the metal dicc on the rotating bit of mine had snapped in 2 and i stuck it back together with no more nails, not only does it not wobble anymore, it folds in and out perfectly!!:D
  18. I think you just register it on the chasis number, ive had 2 import zeds, neither of which have shown the engine number on the log book, just the chasis no. Good luck
  19. G3 GPW...... who is it then?? C'mon stu get that vid up!!!!
  20. you can put me and whatever slapper is on hand down too!:D
  21. Right then, on your next day off, get yourself to work under the bonnet!!!:D :D ;)

Get your head under there and check the connections on the wires first before shelling out!!!
  23. b19rks replied to a post in a topic in General Discussions - 300ZX Related
Most manufacturers use the same numbers, 069 For UK spec (if you fit these to j specs the +/- are the wrong way round!!) 096 or 100 for imports.
  24. Cheers for that, ill have to do something to sort my pc out i think, that divx one plays fine on media player , except the sound is ahead of the vid, and on the divx player it shows no vid just sound!!!! but at least ive got the 2 vids so now all i got to do is sort the players out!!!
  25. Jay, Macca likes all food!!!!:D ;) :p I dont like peas either, like them on my plate as they make it look more interesting, but i never eat them as they always fall off the fork and its too much hassle chasing them round the plate!
