  1. Well it should make it easier to fit your water pump like that!!!! ;) Just seen my mistake on the post above, i meant top power steering, far left air con and far right alternator. If the only one you have left is the one on the viscous fan that one is the power steering one, so you will need a new alternator belt, and a new air con belt i reckon.
  2. Update!!! That pulley wheel bolt is a 27mm, well i was close!!! The two little hoses you need are Nissan part no. N14055F6511 (X2) and the thermostat is N2120042L01, cost less than £20 for the lot at Nelsons!!!
  3. Smithy, its not a cambelt off job, but you do have to be bloody careful not to spill water on it!!! I have shedloads of pics and stuff from doing mine, so if you get stuck, give me a yell, the tools you will need is a fookin big socket (no doubt someone will confirm size, before i go in the garage to check 32mm???) to get the pulley wheel off and most probably a short legged pulley puller to get the wheel free. You'll also need a tube of that waterproof instant gasket stuff. It would be wise to get the two short hoses and the stat first and do them while youre in there, plus you will probably need to cut those 2 hoses to get them off to access the pump. Here my rushed "how to" 1 Remove coolant. 2 Remove fan shroud, viscous fan and rad, (if you dont take the rad off you are likely to stic a spanner through it at some point!!!) also dont store the viscous fan bits lying down, lean them on somethong so it stays at 90 deg from the ground as it is on the car, apparently they are full of oil and can leak if lied down. You will also need to remove other bits and bobs to access all the screws, like boost pies etc, my tip is put latex gloves over the end of the pipes to stop you dropping ant screws down them!! 3 slacken alt pas and ac belts off and remove, labeling them is wise 4. remove the 2 steel pipes that go in by the pump, you will shift most of them with allen keys and sockets, but on some you will need a small spanner, one of those bend allen key things and a pair of very small hands. 5 remove cambelt covers. 6. Now youve got to remove the pulley wheel, this is a sh1t of a job, and if you have an auto, its a really really bad sh1t! This is where you'll need the big 32mm?? socket, you will also need the worlds strongest ratchet and a long bar, if you have a manual, putting it in gear with the handbrake tight on may be enough to stop the engine turning when you remove the nut, if not or if you have an auto you will need to remove the starter motor and chock the starting ring with a strong chocking device!! DONT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES WEDGE THE BAR ON THE FLOOR AND TRY TURNING THE ENGINE TO FREE THE PULLEY WHEEL NUT, A FRIEND OF MINE ADVISED ME TO DO THIS AND IF I HAD IF WOULD OF FOOKED MY GEARBOX!!! 6 finally remove the offending water pump!!! To quote haynes manuals "Refitting is reverse of removal!!!!" Ive probably missed the odd bit out but thats about all i can remember off the top of my head, looking back at that its hard to believe i managed it, but if i can do it anyone can!! Many thanks to Mr Duff, Mac1 and TonyC who were all on the end of the phone when i was in need of a bit of know how. If you get stuck at any point you can always give me a ring on 07966 891954 and ill try and talk you through it. Good luck!!!

  6. By your name you must be a lady aswell, not too many of them on here!!! (a few females though!!!!) ........Running away before the 300zx.co.uk womens rights movement decide to cut my balls off!!!!
  7. Smithy, ive mailed you a pic with the belts on, now im trying to remember which is which? I think its top one power steering, far left power steering, and far right alternator. No doubt someone will confirm!!
  8. Save it for billing, and put it towards the firework display!
  9. Then if this metal bit is damaged, glue it back together with no more nails!!! Job done!!:D
  10. Undo these three screws.
  11. Think the window glass is different, i know the targa tops are different as me and JD tried it.
  12. Pull it off and have a look, you'll probably find the meatal disc has moved/bent/slipped a bit i fixed my passenger side after the said disc broke, with a bit of no more nails it was a ok!! TIP; Put something under the unit, like a bag, if your taking it off, as if the mirror is in the wrong position, those little ballbearing bits that make the mirror click in and out can fall out and you'll never find them. Ill go dig out my pics of my glue job!!
  13. When I saw that guy on the news, you could tell by looking at him that he was the kind of bloke who would know alot about the internet!!!!:D
  14. And there was me thinking i was in with the in crowd!!!! Bugger.:(
  15. I think its the lungs, theyre full of snot, i try to keep mine flushed out by inhaling lots of smoke!!!!:D ;)
  16. First try the cheap bits, get a new rad cap for about a tenner, and check for air locks in the system, see if that fixes it.Dont forget that most leaks/water losses only happen under load, so you get no drops on the drive, or on tickover but when your driving down the road the water can be pouring out. It might be worth getting someone to rev it up while you look under the bonnet for leaks (but dont get your fingers in the fan!!!!). Good luck.
  17. Heres the translation, the door lock is the same one as the interior light, bottom left in the pic.
  18. At a guess id say approximatly nothing. Though I could be wrong, it may be worth slightly less!!!!

Nearly right, but what you must of meant was red J spec auto TT:p
  21. In short, yes buy a zed, youll love it. 1. Yes they are heavy, but once the big beasts are moving theres not alot that will out accellerate it on our roads. 2. Theres lots of conflict over whether uk/ jap, man/auto is 280 or 300 bhp. I was always under the impession that it was only the U.S ones that were 300bhp, but i dont know for sure, having said that its sooo easy to get it chipped to over 300 brake these days that its hardly an issue. 3. Hard to say about races, ive beaten 4.0 supercharged jags in mine, but you never know how hard the other driver is pushing it, and on the other hand ive been beat by a souped up polo!!! 4.Some 300 have back seats (all uk ones are 2+2, and twin turbo, Jap ones come in 2+2, and 2 seater SWB, both available in TT and N/A). Good luck in your search.
  22. OMG, just read the whole thread properly:eek: You cant sell, you dont want an MR2, Noooooooooo.
  23. Blimey, and I thought you were a jaffa shrimpo!!!;) ........prepare to sell the Zed!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!:D
