Breaking the law
We don`t have to, if all motorists got together and did something like the fuel strike something would give. Unfortunately we are to soft and allow ourselves to be dictated to my muppets and puppets and as long as we sit on our arses and do nothing it will continue.

where to fit siren?
Loads of places if you know where to look!! Don`t think i`d leave my car with someone who`s never worked on one before or who can`t find somewhere for the siren to go. Make sure when it`s done both doors and boot have been connected as some fitters think they are all on a common feed so just tap into one wire. Bob

Road Navigation
I use a Pioneer one in mine with touchscreen and full post code search, what you want to spend will determine what you get. Pay £500 and you`ll get a basic system that will do the job or spend £2k and get the dogs bullocks with loads of functions. I have had a few as i need one and so far the pioneer wins. Bob

Whats the best Nissan Blue?
Don`t worry Mac, i haven`t had my 300 for 2 years now but still prefer this forum to the Skyline ones. By the way, Bayside is the one to go for. Bob

Fuelling extra boost levels
Apexi power FC with controller, lets you map the car yourself. just got one for mine off Ebay. This will replace your existing ecu, can use boost solenoid to set boost rather than jets and works to control fuel aswell as a load of other tricks. Bob

HISTORY of the forum
I can remember the early days, put a post on the bravenet forum then check back after 3-4 days to see if anyone had replied. That was Nico`s forum, Craig developed this one then contacted Nico to talk about joining forces as the Bravenet one was on borrowed time. I remember the Nottingham meet well, freezing cold with a turnout of about 12 Z`s, DaveW spent most of the time in my car watching Liverpool on the TV, Hairsy was the daddy as he had 18`s on his(very rare in those days) To this day, despite building a forum i don`t actually think Craig and Nico ever met, could be wrong! As for being here the longest, apart from DaveW and Hairsy, you`re all Newbies !!!! Bob

Car security
How about Clifford Blackjax. This means you have to put a code in using a pushbutton inside the car, the code is set by the driver. The car will not run without the code being entered, should you be hijacked then when the door is opened and closed with the engine running, 30 secs later the car will show brake lights then come to a stall once it has reached a safe speed. The siren will then sound and the indicators flash, these are standalone units and don`t require an additional alarm to work. Any interest and i will do group buys if cars can be in one location, looking at doing 4 a day at a cost of £175.00 Bob

For those with a Toad ai606 alarm
Vijay, if you get 1 bleep with a door open you have a problem. 1 bleep on arming= all doors closed and system set 3 bleeps= door open, system will set but ignore door circuits 1 bleep with door open=door not covered by alarm. Some fitters don`t bother connecting the doors, just rely on ultrasonics. Another test is switch the alarm off and the LED should flash green, open any door and LED changes colour. If it doesn`t the alarm isn`t seeing the door. Bob

For those with a Toad ai606 alarm
The 606 will lock the doors 12 seconds after the ignition is switched on as long as all the doors are closed. If a door is open then it won`t do it. If the alarm locks the doors while you are out of the car then check your alarm. 1) open drivers door only and arm alarm, you should get three bleeps from the siren to tell you there is a fault. 2) do the same with the passenger door. If you only get one bleep from the siren with a door open then that door is not protected by the alarm. 3) Open the bonnet and you should get 5 bleeps on arming. 4) Open the boot and do the same, should give either 3 or 5 depending on where it has been tapped into. So basically if you only get 1 bleep from the siren with any door, boot or bonnet open then whatever is open is not covered. Bob

what type of alarm???
"The alarm is one of the best with loads of security features but beware if not fitted by a pro, IT WILL GO WRONG!!!" Clifford have 2 common faults that will happen whoever fits it. I don`t like Clifford, unless you have the wireless fuleguard fitted as standard or an option they are one of the easiest to bypass. For obvious reasons i won`t post why!! Bob

Gran Turismo 4.......................
Downloaded it and have it on disc, looks wicked to play but everything is in Japanese! Cars are plentyful(took a GTR34 through New York earlier) and the small details like reflections, smoke and sunlight are awsome. If anyone has a chipped PS2 and wants a copy let me know. Bob

Earthquake hits Liverpool.........
A major earthquake measuring 7.8 in the Richter scale hit Liverpool in the early hours this morning. The epicentre was Bootle. Casualties were seen wandering aimlessly saying "bang out of order" "mental" and "that did my head in". The earthquake decimated the area causing in excess of £17.55 worth of damage. Several priceless collections of mementoes from Ibiza and Corfu were damaged beyond repair. Three preserved areas of historic burned out cars were disturbed. Many locals were woken before their giros arrived. The local paper reported that hundreds of residents were confused and bewildered. They are still trying to come to terms with the fact that the damage was caused by something else instead of them. One resident Tracey Sharon Smith, a 15 year old mother of four said "It was such a shock, little Chardonnay-Leigh came running through the cardboard door into my bedroom crying. My hands were shaking so much that I could hardly Shoot-up when I was watching Trisha the next morning". Another local resident known as Macca said the earthquake would not stop him going to work, after all, the Taking without consenting, Burglaries and Graffiti would not do themselves. The British Red Cross has so far managed to ship 4,000 crates of Sunny Delight to the area to help with the crisis. Rescue workers were still searching through rubble and have found large quantities of personal belongings which include benefit books, jewellery from Elizabeth Dukes, bone china from Poundstretcher and a number of Argos catalogues. However they were unable to save any furniture from Crazy George's. How can you help? This appeal hopes to raise money for food and clothing parcels for those unfortunate enough to be caught up in the disaster. Clothing is most sought after. Most needed are Kappa or other tracksuits (his and hers), white socks to tuck the tracksuit bottoms into, Burberry caps, and Reebok trainers. Primark clothing is most welcome. Food parcels are also needed. They include Mcains Micro-Chips, Aldi Beans, Monster Munch, Nutella chocolate spread and Farm Foods pizzas. Alcohol is also in short supply, mainly Lambrini, White Lightening cider and Carlsberg Special Brew. Cash donations are also needed, 22p buys a Bic Biro for signing on purposes, £1.50 buys cheese & chips and £26 buys 200 Regal from Tommo who has just got back from Kavos.

DIY Remote central locking
TTop, if you are going to give advice make sure it is right!! You will need a universal 2 wire motor fitted in the DRIVERS door, once in you then need to wire up either your alarm or remote locking kit following the instructions for "additional motor" or "single point" system. Most decent alarms have the capability or running all c/l systems (single point, posative, negative, vacume and single wire) so extra relays aren`t usually needed. Bob

Alarm
That other switch is the overide/programming button. It is standard on all Concept G4 systems. It is also used on any of the systems with Blackjax to switch it off, so has dual function. You are right about it having 2 wires though, same as the led, about 6in long. Bob
