Car is worth 14-16 depending on spec, anything under 10k and i have cash waiting! Bob
  4. Get over to Skylineowners.co.uk, good forum and some good guys to help out. Also gtr.co.uk, good for info and buying bits but a bit more serious than skylineowners. Bob
  5. I can get the Snooper SLD920x at a good price if anyone is interested. Top laser jammer with 2 heads that fit under your number plate. I know they work as i`ve fitted a couple for Snooper reps then tested them with their laser gun. Bob

Alot of the Skyline guys order from here, Skylines aren`t available in the US apart from imports so parts aren`t available. I have ordered from Japan and the US when i had me ZX and nothing between them. Email Jason at Greenline, very helpful. Only downside is payment can only be done through Paypal at the moment for some reason. Shipping takes about 7 days and can dodge VAT etc when wrapped as a sample!! Heavy stuff is expensive to ship, just cost me £150 for a clutch and fitting kit but still saved overall. Bob

Try going back to 1978 ! Not all Skylines are imports, mine is one of 100 33`s and there are 80 34`s http://www.supercars.net/garages/MaleficZ/31v2.html One of the early ones! Bob

  9. Its all to do with having a vehicle report i.e. crash tests etc At the moment there are a number of cars of which there is no report available such as the GTR34 If you wanted to import a Supra then shouldn`t be a problem apart from the emissions which would have to meet new car levels. There was some sort of loophole to do with kitting the cars out as disabled and thats what has been closed. Probably alot more to it but i think thats the basics. Bob
  10. Sorry, to quick to jump in, just read JWT. !!
  11. IIRC the ECU will pump an extra 7% more fuel for cooling, remember the main reason for swapping the ecu is for running higher boost. Do this without swapping the ecu and you will run lean and go bang. You cant have it both ways!! Bob

Hang on, i built that for a Z about 3 years ago! Belonged to Mark (fingerpig), he stripped his car and sold it. Enough room for the roof under the panel and can still get the spare out is what he asked for. Bob
  13. Check you have a good earth to bare metal, this is the most common problem for interferance. Failing that buy a ground loop isolator, should be about £12-£15. Bob
  14. Thats what it wants to be when it grows up into a propper car !! I will now go away for a while! Bob
  15. Nice one, are there any issues to be concerned about re the strength of the weld. I don`t exactly hang about in the car and don`t want to be thinking about it failing. Bob
  16. Anyone know anyone who can weld Alloy Wheels? caught a speed bump and got a crack in my front wheel about 1" long. Ta Bob
  17. why not just take the ecu out?
  18. Caution, contains scenes of a sexual nature!! http://andigraph.free.fr/barbie/pagebarbieanime.htm Bob
  19. will be there Sat and up at Johnnys Mon if thats easier.
  20. Stick to it mate, it`s not easy but worth it in the long run. I gave up 4 years ago and found it got easier but the feeling for one takes a long time to go. I sometimes go to take one when offered now but that is habbit not the craving which is the hard bit. Bob

He sounded quite confident but did say the UK had some top installers and was looking forward to a good match. Wasn`t over cocky to be fair(unlike a typical yank) Have a look at his jobs at http://www.ultimate-audio.com some nice jobs but not good enough on the day!! Bob

I was in Florida last week and got talking to a guy at Ultimate Audio in Orlando, he had 2 guys competing for the American team. I will drop him an e-mail now!!!!
  23. Skylines are rare but seem to draw people and respect from fellow sports car owners (not just saying that cos i have one), Subaru`s are common so have a huge following and like the Evo gain respect from the rally scene. 300`s however haven`t really done anything to get noticed for, they are however in my opinion one of the most underated and best value for money motors out there. Show me another car with the comfort, performance and power for the same 5K you can get one for.............nothing. So no real answer to the original question apart from what have they done to get noticed? Bob
