I can say that the only angle i really love the looks of my Skyline is from the front, it just looks wide and with the open mouth bumper, as Paul said, looks mean with massive presence. The Z is an awsome sports car and i can`t deny that, i had one for 4 years. When it comes time to move on you would be daft not to consider a Skyline, you can`t deny that! But where do you go from there? Personally i will be going a completely different route once i`ve had enough. Next on my list is an X5 or new Range Rover. Before you start taking the piss remember i am getting on a bit now and the Mrs wants kids!! Bob

Mate of mine has a GTi-R, fookin right rapid thing, same 0-60 as the Z but once you start tuning power to weight takes the piss out of alot of cars. MR-2 tubs again because of weight can put red faces on alot of top motors off the mark. Bob

At last, a mature member who recognises the Skyline for what it is. Until you have owned both you can`t really comment, i have and prefer the Skyline, the Z is a nice car to start off with in the semi- high performance line up but then the time comes to move on !! Easiest way to prove a point is bring what you have to Ten Of The Best, that sorts the cars out into who`s the daddy. Skylines usually walk away with a few trophies but haven`t seen many Z`s taking part. Must be a bit much for them! Bob

If you are going to compare them try doing stock vs stock. If you have 2 cars with the same power then up the boost and do mods to it WTF do you expect. I`ve seen VW Golfs do low 12`s with shit load of mods, does this mean all Golfs are faster than Z`s or GTR`s? Plank Stu, they all use the same engine, apart from minor changes to Cams, Tubs etc. Bob

I didn`t say they were cheaper to own i said they were cheaper to Mod. CHUNK, nice to see another mature owner, at least i have learnt something, with Z`s being so cheap they are the next step for you Nova boys.!! Each to their own at the end of the day, you can buy a Z for 3K then spend a fortune keeping it on the road or spend 15K for a far superior car which will last for many years. The first Skyline was out in the early 70`s and has evolved over the years just like the Z. Saying the Z is 10 years older than a GTR33 is *****cks, you can buy a 95 Z and a 95 GTR33, it`s just the Z hasn`t kept up with technology and thats why the Skyline is more advanced. It is easier to drive at speed and handles far better. in wet and dry. 90% of the time it is a rear wheel drive car, only when is senses a loss in traction does it become 4 wheel drive and then only to the corner that needs the traction. Don`t tell me a Z can handle anywhere near as well as that with technology so far behind. Bob

I have had both a 300zxTT and now a GTR33 and prefer the GTR. Both have good points but for a good adrenaline rush i prefer the 300, this is only because the Skyline feels more stable at speed and handling and therefore requires being pushed alot harder before you reach the gut wrenching feeling. For mid-range the GTR will leave a Z standing, 80 mph in 3rd then open it up and you won`t stop. Skylines are cheaper in the long run to mod, 400bhp can be reached easily for £600.00-700.00 if you shop around. Mine will be going to Johnnys soon and will be over 500 for under £2500.00. If you haven`t driven one try one, i loved my Z and was sorry to see it go, even though the Skyline doesn`t have the looks of the Z it does turn more heads. Bob

Get hold of Mark (fingerpig) he had a nice set-up in his and i`m sure will give you some idease. Had a nice 7" touch screen in the front in a custom housing. Bob

Must be pulling a wire somewhere, if it has the active sub system and not wired properly you can get all sorts of problems. Nip over one day i`ll have a look. Bob
