  1. If the alarm is working ok then probably the door motor in the drivers door has either packed up or the fuse for the central locking for the alarm has popped. Replacement door motor will be about £12-£15, give me a call if you need one. Bob
  2. If your Fire-Station caught fire, would you put it out or call the Army. If you put it out would you be braking your picket line?
  3. Trouble at the moment is that shit`s and criminals have to much going for them, there is no deterant to stop them commiting crime. I had my place broken into a couple of months back and over £8k worth of stock nicked, i give the Police the names and addresses of the shit that did it andthey do swet FA. Next i hear the same wan*ers have been at it again but still nothing happens so they carry on knowing full well that if they do get caught they will get a slapped wrist, told they are naughty boys any let out again. If they commit a serious crime they get put in a room with a PS2, DVD player and taken on holiday. The world is *****D and going down hill fast. Get caught speeding though and you`ll be in a cell and hung before breakfast, system is all to fuc* and getting worse.
  4. Clock the mileage, take it back then re-adjust mileage! Bish bash bosh jobs a goodun. Bob
  5. Yeah they are CDR`s but having looked at the spec of the sony won`t play them anyway. Got PS2 and DVD in the car and that one works so might take it out and plug it in the home one. Cheers.
  6. tried a VCD earlier, came up "no disc", tried it on the pioneer in the car and works ok. I`ll probably get a portable one and hide it somewhere and use the AV input on the Sony one as it`s got the 5.1 surround all built in. Ta for the feed back Bob
  7. Got a Sony DVD player with surround sound etc. Can i unlock it or do something so it will read VCD`s? Got a shed load coming and can only watch them in the car or cheap and nasty one in the bedroom (could come in handy with some of them!!) Answers on a postcard please boys and girls. Bob
  8. Totally agree, they are no more than a reps car, crap interior (no toys unless you go for 7 series) and the reputation of being driven by wankers. Saying that, you look at the 850 and you can pick them up for the same price as a decent Z. There are plenty of Fat Cat cars out there but my choice would be the Audi S8. Bob
  9. Most people i have dealt with in the US are quite happy to put a lower value on the paperwork to reduce VAT and Duty. However if anything happens to it it`s only insured for the declared value. I have had things sent as Gifts, Samples and Repaired Returns which have been exempt from Vat and Duty but being VAT registered i don`t bother anymore. Bob
  10. Will be in the car somewhere, black box 6"x4" with a shed load of wires coming out of it! Can`t say where it is as we all fit them different. Bob
  11. Just noticed you have the 600 not the 606, if this is the case then find the alarm unit and on one of the sides you will see 6 dipswitches, these allow you to change some of the features on the alarm, passive arming being one of them! By flicking this switch you can switch passive arming on or off. However you will have to remove power from the alarm for the change to take effect (disconnect battery or remove fuse). Sorry for any confusion but this is easier than trying to program the 606. Bob
  12. Shouldn`t have a problem with the battery, in fact the factory default for the alarm is not to have passive arming on the alarm so if you disconnect it for a few hours it may go back to default. As far as the immobiliser goes there is nothing you can do, this is a requirement by the insurance companys that if you forget to set the alarm at least the car is protected by the immobiliser. Remote start alarms, best with the Clifford one. The remote start is an extra that will go with the G4 range BUT, if you have a Cat1 then adding remote starting you will lose the Cat1 status. Bob
  13. when you say auto arming do you mean the alarm or the immobiliser part of it? Bob
  14. Don`t foret the whiplash, can take 48 hrs to take effect so get your neck checked out!!
  15. Mac, Fair play to ya matey car looks awsome. Bob

  17. It is easier to increase the power rather than reduce weight/mass because at the end of the day it`s your everyday car which you want to remain comfortable and enjoyable to drive. If it was a drag car then you would strip it and mod it to get the maximum gain. Nelson, you need to consider a bit more than the end result from modding/reducing weight and that is practicality. Bob
  18. Nice one Craig, looks nice and personally i like the colour scheme. Bob
