  1. partition is ntfs so thats obviously why partition magic doesnt work. Anyone know of any software that will allow me to get what my mate wants on an ntfs drive?
  2. Hi guys, just thinking abou local meets etc and as i am in lincoln guessing i belong in here? Anyways kinda just saying hi really, and aiming to make a few meets this year, so look forward to meeting people. Cheers andy
  3. yea im a big fan of spilt partitions but partition magic doesnt do it at all. I have triedthe wizard and using the more manual (disc manager) style of re-sizing then making a new partition in the free space. Just wondering if hp have some way of locking the partition or if version 8.5 is just too old to use on windows xp running ntfs partitions?
  4. Hi guys, mate fo mine has got a new windows xp home pc from HP witha single 80gb hard drive and partition. Thing is he would prefer 2x40gb partitions which i didnt think should be hard to produce. We tried through windows but with no success. I got hold of a copy of partition magic versions 8 and 8.5 full regisitered versions, but still no luck in moving/resizing the partition. Surly there must be a way of doing this without formatting the pc and re-installing windows etc... trouble is hp only give a full recovery disc and no windows only disc so the recovery would return it to the same state. Cheers guys
  5. had this same debate a while back on the sxoc forume when i owned my s14. Same sort of 2 sided argument, and they never really sorted it, to be honest if it left the factory with it, and the way most of us use our zeds think they are worth having. Any extra cooling has got to be good, although they do seem to be alot more hard work to replace on a zed than a s14.
  6. mine was no diff between uk or import model as well, think it depends on insurance companys
  7. haha, public name and shame post GB i guess
  8. wheres the bleed point for the water system in the zed?
  9. think i could use it as my daily drive lol
  10. im shocked their are not more companys available that could rebuild internals of the 300 box for sensible cash. I know a gearbox is an expensive thing but the prices we are talking here (3-8k on a 15 y/o car) just seem daft really. Its ok if you want to run 800 HP, you expect to pay decent cash, but when your only talking around 450hp thats prohibitivly expensive. Anyone had any success with skyline boxes?
  11. maybe just to the aiv removal then
  12. profec is a good boost controller and also has a digital boost reading so easy to adjust! Not too bad to fit either
  13. so do all the 300 kits need adapters? What sort of adapter? female to male?
  14. best of luck this time round mate, hope you find some decent turbos and offers, seems just recently alot of un-necessarily detailed chat about slight upgrade turbos...
  15. sweet work mate, looking great! What brakes you got on your zed?
  16. can not agree more, 5th gear just doesnt cut it to be honest. Looking forward to this new series of top gear though (hoping ivasion finishes soon as they conflict atm)
  17. what sort of price did you guys pay for the braided hoses?
  18. id give him 500 for it, but id only rip it for spares, sad thing to have to do, but think it is probably beyond repair!
  19. Guys will these make much difference on a zed? What sort of price are people paying for these? Im swapping out my fluid anyway so was thinking maybe but some braided brake lines on as well, not bothered about the look really more after braking increase!
  20. I hated confused.com, all that happened was you ended up with loads of stuipid cost policys then they all phone you back promising "we will be able to lower your policy just give em a few details" then they f*cking ask everything again and then still dont beat your cheapest! Mind due if you fone them back with lower quotes from others then they go through it all again! Nice idea shame it doesnt quite work IMHO
  21. anyone got any info on how to sort the egr as well?
  22. what prices you getting as silly? Im 25 and got 6 or 7 yrs NCD (cant remember) i pay about £800 PNCD with adrian flux but i use the car most days so can not go for silly limited milage of 2 or 3000. I declaried ever mod inc wheels and radio the lot, but they seemed to do a good policy. Seem to remember admiral were pretty close as well using their website
  23. mate sorry to see you selling, expecially as the summer is approaching... (sorry to go off topic, but how did you get the center panel of your zed silver?) thanks andy
  24. NIce thanks, good guide anyone got one for the EGR? Think i will have a go at the Aiv tomorrow on my car, just seems un-necessary weight to be honest unless anyone can advise of what it might be doing for me??
  25. what about the help section of the bios? or maybe an about section in their somewhere? Assuming your board supports the speed and it is just a bios question might be worth emailing HP support, I certainly wouldnt throw the cash at a new board for no reason
