  1. Yep, just been looking at the us sites, nothing listed in the sliders or sleeves or gears sections.... Can't believe there's nothing available though....
  2. I believe some of the internals are the same as in the R32 and pathfinder, sometimes a parts search using R32 yields better results but it's knowing for sure which parts are correct, some clever nissan part number use required I think. If I have any results with this I'll update accordingly. I'm sure this kind of rebuild is going to become more asked about as the miles go up on manual Zeds, I know some are having crunching between 1st and 2nd on quick changes.
  3. Exactly my point, cost isn't really an issue, it's just sourcing oem quality parts to build it with.
  4. Great work.....as usual :thumbup1:
  5. Anyone know of a reputable supplier of parts for the manual transmissions? bearing and seal kits seem readily available but what about synchro and synchro hubs and gears etc. I have a spare TT gearbox I would like to strip and recondition to put on the shelf for a later date.....
  6. Shame it doesnt have the 00 at the end
  7. That corrosion (from the picture at least) doesn't look serious enough to warrant a fail, and his reason for rejection is certainly wrong! I've seen this reason for rejection used so many times and it doesn't apply to this type of vehicle..... WITHIN 30cm OF THE BODY MOUNTINGS? It's a monocoque it doesn't have any body mountings, thus makes it not applicable so not useable as a fail. Tester is wrong here. As for the play in the ball joints he should either tell you EXACTLY where the play is coming from or pass and advise. Simples....
  8. Looks fantastic dan, be proud of that :thumbup1:
  9. Again you still haven't read my post from January, why you keep referring to JAE 2015 I do not know, it has absolutely no bearing or relevance to this matter. And I would love to have attended the AGM this year but unfortunately it clashed with something I had planned with my children and they come before me or my activities, and I fail to see how it has any bearing or relevance to this matter.... Don't recall seeing you at Beaulieu.... And I didn't see any growling or snarling (maybe you were but obviously we couldn't see that)? You really aren't grasping my point in all this, the result ISNT the issue, it's how it was achieved as I already said, being a subscribed member gives me the right to voice (or whinge as you put it) my opinion. If I have something to say I will say it, as have you in many threads about different topics. Is that not part of being in a club or on a forum? Or are we supposed to follow the status quo like sheep and say nothing to not offend people higher up the chain of command? I don't believe for one minute the committee simply forgot to post anything about this before now, it was IMO intentional to keep quiet until the event was upon us. I doubt we would be discussing this now if I hadn't asked the question last night. For the record I don't like the way it has all been handled and I hope lessons are learnt for the future.
  10. So you didn't see my post regarding the NEC in January then? And why we are bringing up jae 2015 I don't know, we aren't women. But since you have I'll tell you why I didn't STAY on the club stand, even though that's where I parked when I arrived, it's because to be openly honest I didn't feel welcomed, Darren from Dasstech asked me to display alongside dans zed to demonstrate a stock zed body against his metal creation on dans zed, I accepted and moved my car, and almost everyone that came over to see our cars from the club agreed how much better our stand was than the club stand, sad but true. Jae 2015 has been widely agreed as a poor club event, have we learned from it? Anyhow this is now getting off topic so I will leave it there.
  11. So that justifies it? As a paying subscribed member of this club i do feel I should have a say on matters like this, don't you? I have read many threads in which you yourself have jumped on your soap box over something trivial. Just because this matter doesn't go against your beliefs DO NOT dismiss opinions of others.
  12. How much earlier than January do you want??
  13. Maybe the members should be kept better informed of the progress of things like this, not just make the decisions behind the scenes and don't even bother to make an announcement until someone asks the question.
  14. Behind the scenes...... I rest my case.
  15. I simply meant if 2 cars were offered to fill one space to represent the club it should be decided by the clubs members.
  16. Not shy at all, it's not the line up that's the issue, I said this previously, it's how the line up was agreed.
  17. Irrelevant as I didn't get a vote when it mattered.
  18. I appreciate people may have committed and later dropped out, but even if there were only 2 cars to choose from it should IMO have been a members choice.
  19. So what about all the owners who back in January put their hand up for this..... Committing to something 10 months in advance gave plenty of time for choice IMO......
  20. So this is to be considered a fair result? With no poll or member feedback other than that given at Coventry? Personally I feel this is poor club spirit. It is a great line up of cars no doubt, but how we arrived at that line up I feel was wrong......
  21. How did we arrive at this result?
  22. Sod all that fab work, get yourself one of these....
  23. Note to self..... never retire.....
  24. Well mine definitely doesn't have the one Andrew posted, I've had that panel off a few times.
