  1. Strange how the side repeaters work and not the front indicators as they are fed from the same engine bay harness post connection 106. Also they work with hazards on... the feed from the cabin to the engine room harness is the same regardless of hazards or indicators. Quite odd.
  2. A shame to watch but it happens! Notice how they are able to deal with the problem and allow traffic to continue. If that was in this country they would have closed both sides of the motorway for 2 weeks.....
  3. I fitted a generic 2 wire actuator beside the boot latch and wired it to a programmable output on my alarm. Button 3 pops the boot. Easy to do but obviously u will need the alarm system.
  4. This is usually due to terminal not being fully pushed down on the post which is tapered, almost every battery i change i find this to be the case. The terminal bolt must be loosened a few turns and the terminal seated fully down using a gentle tap to seat it correctly then just nip up the bolt.
  5. What was your reason for needing to fit these gary?
  6. If its a nice day tomorrow i might even fit the carbing front strut brace....
  7. Brought it in for MOTas its dry.
  8. Think of the weight saving though
  9. I also had this fitted in my zed, along with a horn mounted in the door a control unit for the factory infra red locking and the infra red receiver mounted near the sail panel, all removed since fitting the toad.
  10. Im looking for the square blanking plate that clips in to the instrument surround to the left of the steering column, its where the warning lights would be on a series 1. Thanks
  11. Hope yours doesn't shatter like some have, apparently undetected damage along with temperature fluctuations can cause these to explode... :scared:
  12. I fancy the credit card is going to get a bashing......
  13. When you test a supply voltage with no load present you can get a 12v reading, but as soon as you introduce a load onto the circuit the voltage will disappear if there is a poor connection somewhere. You need to check where you took your 12v+ supply from to supply your switch. that could be faulty on the supply side of the switch or your negative supply could be poor with a Load on the circuit. It can be beneficial to use the old fashioned 12v incandescent test lamp as this will introduce a load on a circuit and give better indication of a good supply, modern day led test lamps draw such a low current that they can light up showing voltage when in fact there isn't Test meters can show voltage too but when a load is imposed it will disappear.
  14. Any deals going on in the us for zed related goodies? Everyone needs a present to themselves.
  15. Evening Marc and welcome to the club :thumbup1:
  16. Luckily my zed is problem free, my bills are just things I choose to do to it, there's always room for tweaks here and there.
  17. End bill.........there is no end
  18. Im throwing shifter into the discussion :innocent:
  19. I had a similar problem to this with some goodridge hoses, the fittings were correct but there was no groove machined into them to allow the retaining spring clip to secure the hose to the brackets, didnt fit them and still have them. Will find some correct ones over the winter
  20. Evening and welcome, nice looking zed there :thumbup1:
  21. I see, i have the very limited edition JL Audio covers in mine
  22. While i have had a great laugh reading this thread i cant help thinking that the covers are supposed to be grey? Or am i bein stupid?
  23. It's only half the kit Joel, if there's wear on the gear cones or in the gear teeth then this kit won't do much to improve the health of the box unfortunately.
