Thanks Joely Just called autoglass to mention this and they looked into the case further As its on insurance they have ordered all the trims and clips etc as well, which explains the time, and Japan The trims were one of my concerns as I did not think they would be re-usable, so hopefully worth the wait

By way of update and fair warning to anyone else with a cracked windscreen . . . After waiting (and chasing them) for three weeks Autoglass said "There is no stock in the UK so it's a special order from Japan and will take 8-12 weeks, do I still want to go ahead?" (Do I still want to go ahead? Of course) This is for a UK screen, it may be different for imports

Thanks mine is also an insurance job, Autoglass have the option for blue or green glass so thats good news and say they reuse the trim (so now I'm expecting to be off the road for a month whilst they source the trims!!)

Morning All Getting the windscreen replaced soon, and a couple of rust spots in the vicinity sorted. Is everything needed all standard stuff for Autoglass, or do they need to be aware of anything other than the blue tint as its a UK car

"I've had it maintained for 26 years . . . 5 engines 3 bodys . . . .Best car i've ever had!" But still never sold one, and not been without one since 97. There will be a write up eventually "its been emotional" And yes, 26 years ago people were still asking what oil should I use?
