  1. good find mate cheers. now on my watch list, will be getting them asap. thanks
  2. the wheels are jusr borrowed. only got the front 2 on.
  3. good work there. look forward to seeing it finished.
  4. looking at yours in the pictures it outstands the lotus easily. would love to see nissan make a 25yr anniversay z32 limited edition model. would really help put it back on the map.
  5. well done si. just goes to show what a truly amazing car the z32 is. ifit had a ferrari badge on it they would be worth 10x what they are. just goes to show that some people only want a badge to show off and not a great car.
  6. ye it will be nice to get to a meet. been unable to make any this year. cant even make jae cos cant get time off work for it.
  7. this is whats showing on consult now shes running well.
  8. well huge thanks for the guidance and help from both jeff(zedworld) and mikey bean. She LIVES once more. It appears a couple of things had decided to have a mind of there own and not work correctly. So as jeff had explained to me the goings on with the electrical issues and how they corrupt readings for other parts i firstly started with changing the maf which improved the hesitation but didnt eliminate it all. so next i rechecked all the connections and adjusted the tickover. next was to do the timing. It was at 22° btdc on the gun and around 24btdc on the consult. So i adjusted it to 15° ont the pulley and this made it very very laggy on boost. Came back retimed it to 20°btdc on the pulley and it runs really well, full 1bar of boost no problems and no hesitation at all. So a big thanks to all for your comments and help.
  9. have had a good talk with jeff this morning and there may be hope yet as he suggests the symptoms are leaning more towards an electrical issue than a mechanical one which is a huge relief. possible problems to start with are maf tps cas adjust tickover Am to do these jobs one at a time to try eliminate them out.
  10. its for any car as long as its old enough. classic quotes are only available for a 2nd vehicle tho, not a daily driver.
  11. maybe a cheap 2nd car in your situation may be cheaper than using the zx daily. i used to do a 300mile a week round trip and it was cheaper in costs for me to have a 2nd car to do it in.
  12. mikey bean come round this morning with a maf to try out to help rule that out. also took balance bar off and theres oil in plenum both sides but none in the intake pipes before the throttle bodies. So am gonna order some pcv valves today and see if that helps any. Hopefully it may not be the tubs as when started up and left to get upto temp there is no rattles or smoke from the exhausts.
  13. is there any difference between tt and na mafs?
  14. thats a pretty accurate description of what im getting. but had it on consult and isnt showing a error for it.
  15. thankyou russ thats a very nice offer. im gonna try speak to jeff in the morning and see if he confirms its the turbos first and if it is i will try to find some prices for repairing a set because last i remembered its almost as much as buying a new set.
  16. jeff i will ring you tommorow if your available please. the engine is trying to boost but its like a really bad stutter and thats all it will do. reversed it onto my driveway and had smoke coming out of exhaust. give it some revs(not high revs) and it clears stright up again.
  17. although it still drives the tubbies have gone. the detting i had has turned out to be turbo stalling out and has what seems to be a massive lack of power under boost. so now its a big decision time, 1 repair 2 sell as is 3 break it its gonna be a while before i could repair as ive had to have alot of time of this year due to bad health.
  18. for a event as special as a 25year anniversary an event the size of what we had years ago held at the ferrybridge services in yorkshire is more like it. must of had easily 60+ zeds in a row going down the A1. As it was a jap special meet by banzai everyone would get a chance to be introduced to how good the z32 is. if this could be done again it would be a great way of putting the z32 back on the map. it was a roaring success of a meet and to have it featured in magazines would be great.
  19. having a think of possibilities today and wondered if the standard boost sensor i refitted on sunday (which doesn't seem to work as the gauge on the clocks doesn't move) could be part of the problem as this has only happened since i did some work on the car. I changed the dash clocks as mine were broke. Refitted the boost sensor for the speedo cluster. changed the passenger side o2 sensor. After doing these jobs i have had boost problems where it feels like the engine detting. Im hoping this isnt the turbos on there way out.
  20. sorry i forgot to say its a manual.
  21. thankyou jeff. Is there a marker for me to see where the tdc is when not got any markings on the lightened pulley?
  22. happy birthday pal.
  23. checking timing on consult as ive got lightened pulley wheel so cant use that for it.
  24. took car out for a drive and at 19btdc it runs like crap. back into garage and adjusted it to 23btdc and its alot better, not perfect but better. engine still running on the lean side so really need to get that sorted asap. will be looking at plugs later today.
