  1. looks a great product. only down side is that for larger items like a plenum or wheels is that they need to be placed in a oven to finish the mirror effect. and i for one dont have a oven that big. result was fantastic tho.
  2. just need to lacquer a few coats and then 1 wheel down, 4 to go.
  3. theres definitely no inserts on the wheels. wish they was then i could of taken them off and had them chromed. only other explanation is that axis said they stopped making these wheels because of so many others copying there design and the replacements are a copy of them. look the same though.
  4. well i didnt like the finish of the chrome paint(really was crap). So ive changed that completely and gone a different way. now its gonna be much more matched to the car. if i get chance i will finish this one tomorrow.
  5. i'll give you a million rep points for them.
  6. someone buy it and give me the wheels......lol.
  7. gave the lip a bit of paint. Suppose to be a chrome paint but to be fair its rubbish as chrome look goes. does look clean tho. will paint the spokes and the rest of the wheel tomorrow and see how it turns out
  8. this is the reason ive opted not to have it repaired, but replaced instead. i only found 1 place that would attempt it and they told me that there was a less than 50% chance of it lasting. picked up mine today after they have been refurbed(not painted as im gonna finish these myself). 10. hopefully these wheels should be back today or tomorrow. Anyone got any hints for preparing them for painting. do alloys reqire any specific undercoat to allow better adherence of annodized effect paint?.
  11. just been told about this and i have to say i liked the outcome of it. about time someone got what they deserve for such a dispicable crime.
  12. occasionally i have this on one side too. found mine to be a dodgy wire for the o2 sensor and when its not working properly it smokes on idle. fiddle with the wiring and it goes again. So maybe either your loom is dodgy, or maybe the o2 sensor is. could be completely wrong but just an idea for you to look into.
  13. i think the best thing you could do with a 3d printer is make the item you require, but use it as to make a mould piece and make one out of something stronger.
  14. do you have any flat spots under boost around 3-4k rpm?. possible tooth out on the timing?
  15. the original front 2 were et32. what is the standard on fitting for the zx? probably get some hubcentric spacers for front and back. spacing shouldnt be a problem then.
  16. mine looked like this if it helps.
  17. only just seen this thread mate. absolutely gutted for ya. mental note to oneself......... i must take care of my lovely vert...... i must take care of my lovely vert... Hope you get it sorted soon. your car is a stunning looking motor.
  18. had a look and the et is 38. took a before refurb pic.
  19. you could make some brackets that will relocate them across a inch or so. Am gonna need to do same with mine.
  20. picked them up today. they are really shabby, but are at least in one piece. just about to drop them off with mikey bean whos gonna send to to be refurbed for me. only downside to this is that they are the same width as my rear wheels and i liked the staggered look more. dont know if 255's will be wide enough to fit onto a 9.5inch wide wheel so may need to get some more tyres.
  21. you need to remove the turbo inlet pipe. and then you can get to the hose you need. have had to do this same fix before at side of the road, 30miles from home. can be done with a screwdriver, long nose pliers and a knife.
  22. keith is a lottery win of generosity when it comes to how far he will go to help members out, and a true credit to know. Good to know that another 2 z's are gonna be put back on the road again too. sounds like you had a very busy day.
  23. mine were for a toyota supra so should be same as i have already hopefully.
  24. have sourced a pair of these that are from a lexus gs300. hopefully if all goes well i will be picking them up tomorrow afternoon and getting them sent of to be refurbed. has taken a lot of searching for, so fingers crossed :-)
  25. they definitely axis milano alloys, comfirmed on here and by axis themselves. will have to gather my evidence for a claim then.
