  1. well axis emailed me back today and unfortunately they dont have any of these wheels left at all. so i will keep looking. cant really see me getting much for 3 wheels.
  2. already have mate. am waiting for them to reply. did the council pay you your £900 bill?
  3. think lucky you can find the auction thread, i cant even find it on the new/unread posts. had to go through the traders section to see it for some reason.
  4. problem with that is proving which/where its happened. and even if i could the council are only liable for the one wheel, even if they cant be replaced.
  5. i may have to do that yet. but for now youve give me some names to search for in order to try getting some more. no other wheel suits the z as well as these do, imo.
  6. thanks joely. these have been like rocking horse s#!t to find. hoping i can still get one tho. you must be a wheel god to of found the right model of wheel. now to try and source some.
  7. welcome to the club. where was the water from? front /side /back of engine?. hope it can be sorted easily enough for ya. porn style pics of your car is a must, we will cope with it somehow, lol.
  8. congratulations pal.
  9. cheers fraser. I have emailed him.
  10. looks like i may need to try find a front pair as close to these as i can. Closest to these ive seen were on baz's old zx, but he sold them.
  11. so although the weld would be more than strong enough, no ond would try to save the wheel? wouldnt mind if these were just some cheap wheels but these were 2k without tyres. although i do understand the concerns of fixing them, surely if done professionaly it should be safe?
  12. After making a few calls it seems that companies that will repair a cracked alloy wheel are few and far between. has anyone had a wheel repaired/welded before and if so who did you use?. the problem im having is that most wont weld a spoke. thanks.
  13. hapy birthday mucka. enjoy your day.
  14. if there make this then it would be amazing. can see the origins of the 240z nicely mordernised in this.
  15. jeff's guidance on these cars are without doubt 1st class and there would be many less on the road without his help and advice. glad to see its nothing too major for ya to repair bud.
  16. its a case of do as much as ya can(with help) hobby. then when close to finishing just have the final parts done properly at a bodyshop, lol.
  17. im guessing she doesnt read what you put on here, lol. either that or your running around the garden, laptop in hand, lol.
  18. cheers boldy mate, has been a uphill struggle but more than worth it. And yes i agree the whole zx community is feeling the pinch with money and can feel for each other when in need of parts either with selling them at a much lesser than usual price and helping members/friends out with free parts. Nice to be part of a great community in such a tits up world.
  19. i do like to see cars been fixed at home and not just sent away for everything doing. makes them more gratifying to own. looking good, be nice to see it finished.
  20. cheers mate. i have it set to 65%. I now need to work out why the rev meter on it isnt reading correctly. also the gears settings need setting up properly.
  21. would really help to know if anyone here has this in there car please.
  22. managed to do a few more miles today seeing how it runs. would seem timing belt may be a tooth out as i do get a few flattish spots, but overall its running loads better and with amazing amount of pull. was planning a belt change anyway over winter so will just bring it forward a bit. would love to know what its running at, but not gonna till ive got the belt changed. i would guess it at around 380-410bhp now with current mods. last time it was at 348.8bhp and 360.5flb. So must be quite abit more now and it feels it too.
  23. i were, but no one showed any interest.
  24. i think theres always something else that needs doing on a zed, but hopefully it will stay ok for the time being until i can throw some more money at it. replace timing belt and do the wiring loom and turbos to be next hopefully.
  25. today my z has been transformed. mikey bean came round to help(mainly do,lol) get the car working properly. so stripped the plenum off and fitted my venom555's and devlin chip and rebuilt it up. completely re-plumbed the whole boost system and rewired some bad connectors. the end result is the car is now an absolute animal. hiting 1bar of boost at only 3000rpm and holding perfectly. been at it all day so thankyou mate, your a star. consult results looks much better now too.
