Running the engine in, my experience!
I was told to keep the engine below 3000rpm for 1000 miles, then every 100 miles after that you raise the RPM by 500 until you are redlining.

Houghton Insurance
You guys seem to be doing a great job, unfortuently I couldn't get covered due to being under 23 :( I think it should be taken into account the length you have owned the vehicle, personally I've had the car over 2 years and have yet to have an at fault insurance claim.

This is better, a productive thread highlighting problems. Re moderation: personally if a descision is taken to moderate a thread then any off spawns of that thread WILL be moderated accordingly because if I or another moderator do anything then it has to be backed up 110%. If you know me then you know i'm not a keyboard ninja, I will say exactly to your face what I type up on the forum. This place is not harshly moderated, there is one issue that everyone knows is taboo and both sides are moderated equally, I'm sorry but if we let the positive side have their say then we have to let the negative side have their say, and this WILL cause to much trouble for the forum. The commitee spends a lot of time on this forum, personally I put in more hours than are healthy keeping this site running, for one issue to take up our time is unnaceptable and we need to deal with it accordingly. re the negative points 1) we have club insruance via houghton currently, this has been covered. 2) it really isn't, we moderate to keep arguments off of the forum, there is no place for them here, 3) traders offer a discount, we are always willing to take more traders on board.

Police ca$h machines
Most nights cones are put away unless there are obstructions or a dangerous section of road that hasn't been fully repaired or needs to dry, I know workman that complain about having to remove and replace cones every day, unfortuently the cameras arnt so easy to remove and are generally only placed where they feel people use speed that cause problems to workers. at the end of the day, you arnt meant to be speeding, so if you get caught take it like a man.

Police ca$h machines
urm, the cameras you are talking about do exactly that, they impose a 50mph limit on a road where people are used to going 70mph, it is assumed that they can handle their car at that speed, it also makes it safer for workers to judge the speed of cars incase they need to walk out into the road. Road work cameras are mainly there to make it safe for roadside workers and their unions like to have them there,

Police ca$h machines
did you not read his entire post? or is this a blair spin doctor type curfuddle of words? he said he only speeds where appropriate, who gives a shit if you are endagering your own life, thats your choice, but when it comes to the possible harm of others then you have to drive cautiously. of course if you do crash you are going to tie up fire services.....

no mate, its my company. only if you moan to the right people.
-
Police ca$h machines
its not touchy, its a case of if you are going to moan about something then get off your arse and sort it out, contact the relevent authorities. or you could do what the majority of people do who moan about a situation and carry on moaning and not act to get it resolved.
