  1. Christmas Eve has become my family's 'Christmas Day' also. My mother's side of the family is Hungarian and my sister, nephew and brother-in-law live in Germany. Continental Europe seem to celebrate it on Christmas Eve.
  2. Whilst I am not the biggest fan of Christmas, I do like the day itself, despite being at 36,000ft for half the of the big day, I will get to enjoy some Texas BBQ on arrival! Anyone doing anything other than the norm? If Christmas wasn't such a 4 month commercial nightmare, I'd really enjoy it, after hearing 2 months of Slade 'Merry Christmas', it's enough to send even the most tolerant of evangelists to the loony asylum. I took a flight back from the US at the end of October and Heathrow already had its Christmas trees up...I mean WTF!? I am not in the least bit religious either, so it really is just the day to spend with family or friends, something I do a lot anyway....? My house has no decorations up other than cards as I'm not going to be here and I don't have a wife and kids.....and I just can't be arsed to stick up a dead tree in the house and glue tat to it. Things I love about Christmas: *2 weeks off - time to tinker with the car, eat chocolate, bum around, see friends (yes, I do have some) and tinker with the car some more *Giving presents :D *Work Christmas Party :D *Christmas Day itself :D Things I dislike about Christmas: *The tedious 4 month prelude *Christmas music from the likes of 'Now That's What I Call Xmas' *Sprouts :hurl: *Christmas Cake :hurl: *Christmas Pudding :hurl: *Minced Pies :hurl: *Carols *The weather (if I'm in the UK) *Christmas shopping (I do it ALL online now anyway, so this is redundant to a point) *The roads - every man and his dog comes out and many people on the motorway who only drive on it once a year - terrible!
  3. No, but that exhaust is. :hurl:
  4. RX8 wheels....look good on a Mazda 6, but a little 'low-rent' for a 300zx. If you want that style of wheel, then try and find yourself some 350z anniversary wheels, they do work pretty well on the Z32, although not something I'd go for either. Not that easy to find in the UK though. These are nice and fairly hard to come by. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-350Z-Skyline-Infinity-G35-Alloy-Wheels-Tyres-/272484099564?hash=item3f715165ec:g:orgAAOSwPCVX56ty However these are my favourite if you want a wheel from the 350z/G35 era on a Z32 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-Skyline-350GT-350Z-18-x-8j-Wheels-Brand-New-Tyres-5-x-114-3-/132039068096?hash=item1ebe2449c0:g:ieIAAOSwa~BYRGnw
  5. Unless you're building a dedicated track car, I see no real point in fitting a roll cage.....
  6. Think that's what mine cost roughly. I bought new nipples and dust caps too as well as lettering. I was lucky with my brakes. I managed to get front and rear discs, pads and calipers from an R33 GTR (Brembo) for about £350. I fully reconditioned them though and got new discs and Brembo sport pads, so the cost mounted up - all in was around £1200.
  7. Get them powder coated. The finish is more durable and nicer.
  8. Ideally you want to take them to a place that does a chemical dip or soda blasting. Shot blasting is fine as long as they're properly cleaned out. Get in touch with http://www.biggred.co.uk/ - I bought the seals from them and I think they were around £150 for all 4 corners (seals only). I'd also look at replacing your nipples with SS ones. I rebuilt mine myself, fairly easy job to do (if you're not splitting the calipers). Just make sure you get some red-rubber grease to coat the pistons with before refitting.
  9. No, no and NO!! What are you going to put on that then? An old rusty oil drum? A Steptoe and Son suitcase? A shitty old bike....or nothing?
  10. Where in TX are you Jess? Guessing Austin by the window stickers. I know a lot of the guys from Z Club of Texas like Mike Quan and Mike Taylor and I'll be at ZCon in Austin in June with some friends from Dallas, I'm actually in Dallas next week for Christmas and New Year.
  11. Least it's not covered in salt!
  12. Better than looking sad outside covered in shite. :D
  13. Do another video away from the fan - it's very difficult to hear it. It's not easy to diagnose engine rattles online anyway.
  14. Last I heard Ash was looking into it for you? Can't get them stateside.
  15. Makes the car look cheap. I don't like it at all (predictably).
  16. Do it! Always good to have something to laugh at! :)
  17. You're probably alone there and it would look odd as the window lines carry all the way to the back. There would be a huge amount of work to reconstruct the tailgate to maintain its rigidity in order for the glass not to pop. I don't see any benefit from either from a practical point of view or a styling point of view.
  18. 1. 182stevecup 2. Iangreenfield 3. Sayers 4. t.mogsy 5. Joely P 6. Funkysi (if in country)
  19. Just hard stem seals, should burn off fairly quickly.
  20. Bronze tinge to the glass too! MASSIVE impostor! An impostor of absolutely nothing at all, but still an impostor! :wack:
