  1. Yes, har har! :p
  2. Really? I think you need to shop around. Wales is no different to England in terms of insurance premiums unless of course you live in a postcode area with high crime rate. Plenty of members on here only paying between £150 and £200 a year. I am £300 and should shop around, but I haven't been that motivated to save such a small monthly amount.
  3. Maybe there's something a little more amiss with it? There was a silver series 3 SWB that came up for sale on ebay a few years ago, I think it was SWB. It was up for a low price and remained on ebay for around 9 months. Looked okish from a quick glance; a few forum members went to have a look at it and the underside was a mess. Bent and rusty sill returns and general scabbiness - this looks pretty clean though, but I do wonder @ that price...
  4. Shame there are no interior shots. It is a bargain, nice find. That chrome number plate surround would be straight in the bin - they were popular once (heaven knows why).
  5. Don't waste your time - just get a single peice prop from Jimmer.
  6. Seen this thing before. I want to hate more than I do, but my current stance is 'it just looks a mess' and a little like he's trying a bit too hard to be different. I don't really know quite what it's actually supposed to be. Yeah, that thing looks appalling. Like it's been vandalised - mind you, he's only recently discovered UK sidelights, indicators and corner blanks....! :wack:
  7. That's 'the real nips'! I lol'd when I saw that! Just throw it in the trash! Saying that, someone might want it for the vents, but they never break!!
  8. Anyone remember that crumpled up yellow bumper that came up for sale about 6 or 7 years ago? I'm kicking myself for not screen-grabbing it. The seller wanted £75 for it and it looked like an old packet of Skips that had been discarded. Advert said that a heat gun would pop it all back into shape! It was totally destroyed.
  9. Whilst it's not much, who the @#$¥ would buy this thing? Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252765402161
  10. and less stress!
  11. That's the natural colour of the plastic itself, it's a dirty yellow colour.
  12. All underseals don't fully cure and that's how they're designed. It means the product can 'creep' so that when it gets hot, it'll flow into the cavities much better and also it'll 'heal' from minor impact damage. Not sure where you read that Waxoil was a waste of space. Dinitrol has a better name and is a better product granted, but used correctly, Waxoil is a decent alternative. They do a very similar thing and act in a similar way.
  13. That's called seam-sealer. Don't remove it unless there's evidence of rust behind it.
  14. The best ones are rumoured to be the KarumaZ one. AndrewG has a spare he might be willing to part with. Both he and I were very fortunate in being able to obtain the last two brand new genuine foam/metal composite OEM ones as neither he or I have seen any top quality OEM replica spoilers, but the KarumaZ one is about the best you're going to get. If you're willing to deviate very slightly, then you can't go wrong with a TwinZ rear spoiler, type 1 or type 2 are the only ones to go for. Check out photos of JoelyP's for inspiration.
  15. Nice!! I had a delivery a few days ago too - new OEM parts make me warm inside! haha One thing to point out though mate, the t-top covers are for US spec cars and have a nice big hole in the finisher for a key-lock.
  16. I knew Andrew would have the engine numbers! :)
  17. I'm desperate to take mine out for a run, but there's still so much salt on the ground. It's lovely and warm here today, it's due to rain on Wednesday, so I'm hoping it pours enough to wash it all off the road so that I can take out on at the weekend!!
  18. Yes - more OEM clips and fittings! This time next month, it'll be having a MONUMENTAL pampering session for a month or two! :D
  19. 89 and 90 being 'certain engines'. They made it all the way up to a certain engine number which I can't remember the figure, these were found in all 89 cars and 90 cars for most of that model year. There are still engines out there that are running early heads with original valves. If you don't know the history and engine number is low enough, I'd avoid.
  20. You answered your own question there. ;) The thickness of underseal and coverage looks substantially less on late94/95+ cars from what I've seen.
  21. Absolutely! Spec-wise though, I'd say 91-94 irrespective of series. Better specification and materials. Series 2-4 ideally as you dispense with the tweed. Avoid 89/90 cars unless they've had the heads replaced or re-engineered (soft valves on early engine numbers).
  22. Hope you guys cleaned all that nasty rotten salt off your cars!!!!!!!
  23. I don't have a Bosch one. I took my battery cover to the battery place and matched it. I've noted Andrew's option though, I was expecting £150!
