  1. Pretty sure that's Peach's old car.
  2. Sounds like a painful chore!
  3. Twin Turbo engine going in I hope! :)
  4. True, but those wishing to have their cars repainted/restored and want their screens replacing or swapping out for blue-glass, that solutions isn't there.
  5. I think you're getting confused with the top trim seal.
  6. Hell no! Autoglass are an utter rip-off, always have been. I was quoted £600 or something for a replacement about 5 years ago and ended up going with National Windscreens. Autoglass have the monopoly with the insurance firms and charge a premium for private jobs.
  7. I am expecting the price to change!! If it doesn't, that'll be a huge bonus. People are being quoted £700+ for one.
  8. As the car is getting to this age in life, aftermarket replacement parts like windscreens are getting harder to obtain, something that was highlighted by Japspeed recently announcing that they are no longer producing stuff for the Z32 - that personally doesn't bother me, but I have heard along the grapevine that folks have been trying to get replacement screens and have been told that there are none in the country and that availability is now nil. As my car is in for repaint, I am having the screen taken out and replaced which kinda put me on edge a little, so I've done a bit of digging around. True, Z32 windscreens in any tint spec are not available at the moment - there are none in stock in the UK and there are no plans to bring it back in as a mass produced stocked item part. These screens are all made by PilkingtonK Automotive glass. The windscreens are however still able to be obtained as a 'special order'. PilkingtonK do keep all the molds of windscreens produced by most mainstream manufacturers for the past 30 years or so. Having also heard from a number of sources that having a screen specially made could cost around £700, I decided to order one through National Windscreens (who have always been my preferred glass fitter) just to see what happens. I have this morning had confirmation of an order for £185 fitted, however lead time is around 8 weeks. Until I get confirmation of delivery date, I'm not holding my hopes of them being able to maintain that price, but we'll see what happens! So, just a heads up, if you need a replacement screen, be prepared to wait and be prepared to possibly pay more than you were ever used to!
  9. BC Coilovers are really hard. You really want to be looking at MeisterR coilovers as they're far more compliant for UK roads. Quite often with cheap coilovers is you'll get a harsh spring rate. I personally wouldn't want to pay as little for something like that which is an unknown.
  10. Good luck with the build and welcome! :) When you say 'stance', I hope you're not going for a GT (BIC disposable razor) wing and the 'fat girl in Uggs' look.
  11. It is made! :) Along with all the other things I'm doing to it, there's no way I'll go back on that. :D
  12. Paint choice has changed again! Having spent some time looking at the Jaguar colour, I do not like it one bit in low level lighting, so I've gone back to my second choice which is Lamborghini's 'Bianco Icarus' metallic white. This colour is available on a number of VAG models. It has less metallic in it than the JLR colour, but is brighter. I may have the yellow tinter removed when it's mixed, so it is potentially going to be a semi custom colour. It has a very clean look to it. Goes well with the 'black roof' syndrome! :) [video=youtube;MZ3M-yyzjb0]
  13. Best glass! Makes a HUGE difference!
  14. I think you're just getting mixed up with manual and automatic pedals!
  15. Yeah apart from the glass removal. It was taken away a day earlier so I went down yesterday morning to finish it off.
  16. The passenger side is patchy, I want to go back to the original spoiler which has to be a full tailgate paint, the passenger side and then to blend pearl, you'd end up doing half the front, half the rear end and part of the offside quarter too. You end up chasing the pearl coat round the car. It's actually just as straightforward to have a full paint job especially if you're not over the moon with the one it currently has and you've stripped 2/3 of the car to do the job properly.
  17. No need for those, my pubes are naturally curly!
  18. Bye bye old friend, see you on the other side! You will be beautiful once again! Interior almost fully stripped, bumpers held on with only a few bolts - rear lights need some heat! Alic still has my hair drier! Just need to drive to the bodyshop tomorrow to remove the rubbers, and other associated trim around the t-tops and a-pillars. It really was quite an unnerving experience watching it disappear down the road! Some 4 hours time, it will be at the health spa for beautification. :D
  19. I only have one and that's the new one - you can't have that!
  20. My ash tray is brand new, it stays rape-free!
  21. Actually, scrap that, I think I'm just going to put it straight into the headlining behind the light. It will be closer to the driver's seat then! OEM+ :)
  22. Unit reassembled. You'd never know! :)
