  1. At what point does a TV set turn into an article of furniture?
  2. Stuff like fibrol is ok on panels where there's structural rigidity. If you're cutting metal out leaving an inner skin and an outer skin with no structural bond, then it'll crack and fall off. If you want a cheap job though, I guess you could bond it on with no more nails or something leaving the rust underneath and intact metal.
  3. Weld it!!!! Don't even think that simply slapping on filler would be a good idea. Filler is not designed as a structural support material, merely as a finishing material. With stresses in the body, it'll simply crack and eventually fall off.
  4. Shit loads of nitrous and a bum hole made of of Kevlar for when it all goes pop.
  5. My lunches vary. Sometimes if I'm on the road, I'll grab a sandwich, if I'm with customers or colleagues, it could be anywhere from a pub to a nice restaurant.
  6. You have to be joking surely? Those are absolutely grotesque! :hurl: As vijay says, just tacky stickers.
  7. Certainly don't, this and another poll prove by a large majority otherwise. ;) http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=105785
  8. QUOTE=Craig David]That's the one. Awesome. (I'd paint it another colour though if it was mine). All in Dutch on a Japanese Z forum.... http://209.85.135.104/translate_c?hl=en&langpair=ja%7Cen&u=http://www.300zx-twinturbo.com/Articles/zxmag.htm
  9. I'd sooner have an uneven bonnet than have bonnet pins.
  10. Ok, so I have charcoal bolsters with contrasting dove grey stitching to match the dove grey centres as per photo... I am having the door cards clad in the leather, but in sections and double stitched so it looked more factory fit as I don't like the 'stretched' look at all. Obviously this isn't mine as these are white, but I am undecided as to whether I want the black stitching on the dove grey leather to match the opposing contrast of the dove grey stitching on the black leather or whether to keep the stitching like this photo; ie, the same colour as the leather. Kinda, the opposite to this?
  11. When you're down mate, I'll get my mate Mick to take you out in his. His is th earlier version though. Still a cracking car and the handling is awesome.
  12. Totally. They are the only real replacement if you want to keep the car's look. Never ever liked the replacement. Makes the Z not look like a Z. Round rear lights couldn't suit a car any less IMHO. :) Why would you want to modify it to that degree anyway? The Z as it stands and as it was designed was near-perfect. It's the reason why Porsche guys don't fit different rear lights to their 911s or even 944s. Each to their own, but there's very little visually you can do to the car to make it look better than it is as originally designed. The back end, especially is one of the key design features.
  13. Very nice Richard. Always had a soft spot for the SLK. Kinda prefer the early ones though. Going to fit some nice dished AMG rims?

  15. Just a small selection of what I'd have in my collection.:) Lamborghini Gallardo Jaguar XJ220 Ascari KZ1 Ferrari F40 Porsche Carrera GT
  16. Did more damage to that horrid little Kia than it did to the Toyota!
  17. Pretty sure the two are not related, it's an Alfa designed/built engine. The V6 units fitted to Cavaliers/Calibras/Vectas and Omegas are shared with Saab. Alfa are not owned by GM either.
  18. I do agree, but there is only one real issue with the V6 and that's the oil cooler which sits in the middle of the V. I've had a Calibra V6 and I also fitted a V6 engine in my old Astra convertible and both were good units proving reliable.
  19. Bit of a wild card, but how about the Omega Elite 3.0? Always been a very capable car, good reviews written about it. Vauxhall always seemed to be able to build good RWD cars as the Carlton and Senator prooved. You could probably get a 52 plate Omega Elite, fully loaded for that price I am sure there are the odd Irmscher dealership examples knocking about.
  20. Fancyplates is where I got mine from. Got mine made to the size of the import aperture. :)
