It's when people turn up the boost too high, don't change maps, run high boost when sensors are failing etc etc. I'm not talking mega power here, just 14PSi...ie, safe limits on a GOOD engine.

You shouldn't have problems if you do the job properly. Steve-300zx is running stock internals and look at the reliable power his is producing. :)

...or you could mount different switches either side of the centre consol, just infront of the gearshifter.

I'd modify the centre switch panel to accept. I looked at fitting heated seats to my JDM with the thought of modifying the panel to accept the two switches. There is room there and I think if you took your time, you could do it.

Why didn't you just buy a new one? They are only £25. Probably next-day with MJP.

I've got a new Samsung Soul. Looks really good, but has very conveluted menu system and the centre touch pad has a mind of its own. Great looking phone, but wished I'd gone for an Iphone or N96 instead. Reason I didn't choose anything too fancy is that I already have a Blackberry 8800.

Not a lot! You'd probably get loads of black smoke out of the exhaust. lol You need to have accompanying mods really. No point trying to push more fuel through that it actually requires.

Do you have a boost controller? The thing with the Z is, each critical components can take a different amount of boost at certain levels. If you simply fit bigger turbos, then you'll reduce the efficiency of the injectors and you'll get detonation leading to damaged pistons. So whereas with stock turbos, your injectors can run safely up to 14PSi, if you put huge turbos on it and leave the boost levels the same, you'll get detonation. Stock turbos can be run at about 15-16PSi, but your injectors will be running lean at this point (14PSi being the safe limit for your injectors). Your ICs cool effeciently a little higher I think at around 17. But it's your injectors that are the biggest restriction.

14PSi is pretty much your safe limit with stock turbos/injectors and intercoolers. But it's advisable to have a replacement chip fitted. You could see gains of up to about 370bhp on a strong engine.

The bottom right hand photo, the head on-pic, looks like a house in the path of a hurricane. You know, when all the panels start blowing off it etc.

Stance is the first and last place to be when it comes to the looks of Z32s. You can give them ultimate road presence simply by getting the stance sorted. Offset is key IMO. :) Do you have adjustable camber arms and tension rods?

Gewalt are a quality manufacturer! Good luck with the spacers, should give it a really good stance with those on!

Take the door card off and unplug the connector from the recoil barrel (This is presuming you have a series 1 of course). Nissan designed in an electronic seatbelt slackener. Works fine if the seatbelt webbing is brand new and the recoil mechanism nice and oiled, but the rest of the time it's a PITA and it gets worse as time goes by. It will go back in if you mess around with it and the buckle lock. Put the key in the ignition, turn the ignition on and lock the seatbelt as if you were going to drive, this primes the electronics for the seatbelts. Then give the seatbelt very gentle tugs. Eventually, the recoil mech will release. But once it is, when you have a chance, take the door panel off and disconnect it and clean the belt webbing. It should prevent it from happening again.
