  1. I've read through a few plug threads. Going to be replacing all my spark plugs shortly immanent of my boost upgrade. So O2 sensors, coolant temperature sensor, plus further ConZult checks to make sure everything else is 100% before fitting a chip and subsiquent boost controller. Now, before I do that, I want a new set of plugs. PFR6B-11C or PFR6B-11B I can see being the choice. Understand that the B is a cooler plug? Is this what I should be going for? I am not after the 'ultimate' plug, but something that will give me and the engine, the confidence it needs with about 14PSi running under them. I don’t have any issues with my current plugs, but want everything to be working as well as it should be.
  2. My boss has a bad cold. I don't often see him, but had a meeting with him in Cambridgeshire yesterday, so I am expecting to get it. I can feel my throat starting to tingle, so I expect I'll have something coming on. Only tend to get one a year though..
  3. It's changed since I did it then. I was doing 37 in a 30 limit at midnight through a village up on the mendip hills and it zapped me. At the time, it was only for lower speeds.
  4. Some counties offer a speedchoice workshop for considered 'low speed' violations. I think anything up to 39mph in a 30 limit and you're eligable to apply. You still pay a fine, but it goes toward the workshop and you avoid getting points. I believe you can only apply for one of these courses every 3 years.
  5. I had 3 or 6 when I bought my car. The only points I've ever had. Clean licence now.
  6. It was near-perfect when Gio had it. Poor thing. With what you've got planned, the car won't want to be in it for the long haul! LOL ;)
  7. You're gonna completely ruin that thing aren't you.
  8. It's a heap! Viper wings..... :hurl:
  9. Where? The bonnet maybe?
  10. What a crock of shite. Some of these pixies that pluck these power figures out of the air really show how little they know about the car. The state of it is bad enough (regardless of whether it's unfinished or not). As for the interior, I saw nicer colour co-ordination fall out of my ass when I had food poisoning a few weeks ago. As for the price, he's havin' a laugh! I'm guessing you're colour blind or just have the most awful taste! LOL
  11. Looks like a different car. PS, hydraulics suck. lol
  12. Clocks, interior trim, rear bumper, window tint (on some models), sidelight/fog/indicator configuration. Badging, colours, rear wheels, suspension, mirrors, heated seats/non and amount of RUST! LOL There are more, but those are the basic ones. That's regarding series 1 models like for like.
  13. Oh dear. I bet the neighbours love him too!
  14. 6,000k is the temp. Do you mean what colour does the 6,000k emit? Or do you mean what's the optimum bulb temperature? I believe 5,000k to 6,000k is the optimum. The higher the temp, the more blue the light. I personally think that anything above 6,000k is pointless. Or do you mean; what colour LEDs suit the 6,000k bulbs?

  16. A Z is only as good as the how the previous owner treated it. Buy a neglected one from a cheap-scate and you'll be buying a problem car, buy one that's been well maintained by an enthusiast and you'll likely have no problems. Regular servicing on a stock engine isn't that expensive IMHO. If you start cutting corners, modifying it on the cheap, you'll have expensive issues.
  17. Tidy looking car. Is it me or is the left pipe bent down further than the right one?
  18. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=23 ;)
  19. You won't need to remove the bumper. It's bolted in from the front. I removed mine and I think the bolts holding it in are under the brackets either side. The bolts are facing up I think, so you'll need to get in there with a flat spanner. It's been ages since I removed it, but pretty sure that's the way.
  20. All the best Mark! :duffer:
  21. I got a carbon fibre one from Ionic Dynamics when I was out in Cali. SWBs look good sans-spoiler, but the LWB really needs something on the back to kick it up a bit. Mine originally came over with the spoiler removed and never felt it looked quite right.
  22. You'll be hard pressed to get hold of that spoiler. It's a M30Z (Tommy Kaira) spoiler and are as rare as hen's teeth. I have lifetime 1st dibs on that spoiler if he ever takes it off or breaks the car. :)
