What make is the belt?

Unless yours has adjustable camber arms/tension rods, then yeah. Your geometry would be out otherwise. Again, hard to understand why someone would go to the bother of fitting coilovers and not fitting adjustable tension rods. Maybe it was part-project.

alloy wheels
Nope, they won't have been developed for any specific cars. But RWD GT type cars tend to have wider rear wheels and different offset to the fronts. They were probably bought as a tyre/wheel package rather than spec'd up for the car.

Yeah, does look like stock height. Hard to understand why someone would fit coilovers and leave them at the stock ride height though.

IIRC, on the Calibra and Carltons you have to get adjustable top mounts as, whilst they are fully independant, they aren't multi-link like the Z. You can get a shim kit, but they don't have the adjustability of the fully adjustable versions. Danny @ DTA can supply you upper adjustable arms and tension rods for the front and rear camber arms.

Megan are import only I'm afraid. Don't think there are any official distributors in the UK. PLEASE PLEASE fit adjustable camber arms and tension rods though. The car will not only look tired on non-adjustable stock ones, it'll also wear the inner parts of your tyres at an alarming rate. Doing a propper suspension rebuilt/upgrade will cost you the best part of £1k. That's not for coilovers either.

Looks like you have have wheels designed to fit a FWD car. Equal width and too much negative offset.

You have coilovers and they are on stock height?!!??

Yes, dodgy Chinese springs. This is lowered around -35mm to -40mm. Megan springs.

Standard height? Sounds like you have H-tech on yours which don't offer much of a height reduction, just a slightly more taught ride.

80mm drop is way too much IMHO. 40mm is about as far as I'd go and that won't give you best comfort. Unless you can get hold of a set of H&R or Megan springs which lower the Z between 30 and 40mm then it's coilovers for you. You can either go for something like the Ground Control coilovers which use quality Eibach springs. These aren't full coilovers, just height adjustable springs. But coupled with something like KYB adjustable shocks, you have almost the same control. You could then go a step up and go for a full coilover set. Tein Flex coilovers seem to get good reviews. If you are dropping your car, you really need to consider camber adjustment. Advise on fitting adjustable camber arms and tension rods.

Top Gear 300zx
Not sure who owned the white car in the generation challenge, but Zairs now has the silver one in the drag strip race and wants to turn it into some kind of monstrosity! LOL Shame, famous and very clean original car.

First above EVERYTHING that I think all people overlook is, is the engine actually running 100%? First and foremost, get the car checked on conzult. Have a balance test done, have ALL the sensor checked. If any are out or range, replace them, or clean up any connectors. Replace the plugs with NGK PFR6B-11B, poss get the injectors cleaned. Then get an uprated air flilter, then get at reflashed chip with the new fuel mapping. Check the car again on conzult, then get your boost controller fitted. That's the way I am doing it anyway. I think too many people neglect the sensors and simply fit a chip and boost controller without making sure the engine is running 100%

DVLA & personal registration plates
Very little I'd imagine. Plates like that will end up costing a fortune and there's only one way to spell James....if you know what I mean. Affordable plates won't be affected as they will remain affordable. IE in the 500 - 2000 price bracket.

- High Beam or just dipped?
What temperature bulbs did you go for?- High Beam or just dipped?
Being low has nothing to do with it. Maybe your headlights need adjusting or the projector bowls cleaning out. I never use my main beam now. HID dipped seems to illuminate the road as good as.- speedo change
All the right words, not necessarily in the right order! ;) No, leave the chip off, it's a converter for the clocks only. The pulse the new clocks take from the sender is the same. Just plug n play. :)- Man bras! Only in Japan!
I was looking for one of these! :wack:- headlights
Give the connectors a clean.- hmm what was it??
Maybe it was this? - High Beam or just dipped?
