  1. The wheels you're looking at are nice, think that an anthracite centre would be more appealing. Unfortunately Wolfrace wheels are like chocolate. There is a reason why 4 wheels and 4 tyres only cost £600. Thank you very much. My wheels are Advan Siena Generation II. Not available anymore I don't think, but were sold up until a few years ago. Pretty expensive 3 piece forged wheels. I think a set were somewhere around the £2.5k - £3k mark. I think if I ever go 'epic' on my car, I'll be sorting myself out some 19" BBS LM.
  2. Still a bargain. Those wheels are about £4k with tyres. There is no pitting on the alloy, just some light kerbing that can be 'easily' repaired. They look better than the ones you seem to like. :wack:
  3. It's an epic job I'm afraid. You'll have to take the seat skins off the manual seat which is really difficult on older hard leather. You're better off buying the best electric passenger seat you can from a series 2. Simple case of running cables from the drivers side. I got a spare connector, made myself some loom too and ran it under the carpet. Looks completely retro-fit now. But I looked into various possibilities regarding electrifying the operation on the passenger side. There's a LOT of work involved.
  4. WHAT??? You know NOTHING!
  5. Dude, get some 'quality' used wheels. These are stunning! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/STICH-Wheels-Supra-R33-R32-Impreza-200sx-S13-RX8-300ZX_W0QQitemZ250514257848QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET?hash=item3a53d037b8
  6. I'll 3rd/4th/5th whatever'th that. Looks completely normal.
  7. ....and if your budget was a bit more...this is gorgeous! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1994-M-Audi-Coupe-2-6E_W0QQitemZ290355917074QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutomobiles_UK?hash=item439a8fb112
  8. £550....and kinda looks it. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1989-AUDI-COUPE-BLACK_W0QQitemZ140359231865QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutomobiles_UK?hash=item20ae0fe979
  9. Probably get a pre-facelift 2.0e for that sort of price.
  10. I have no idea why. They are too stupid to look. They all use the same filter anyway. Better off buying from MJP as his will be genuine. Don't bother with ANYTHING from Hellfrauds unless it's Bosch wiper blades and batteries.
  11. I like German cars. They rarely excited me visually, but great mechanicals and quality.
  12. Totally agree. Something about the old Cabrio that screams 'class'. I guess it's because they were quite rare, even when new. Newer Audi cabriolets everywhere now, about as regular as Ford Fiestas. This and the old Merc 500SL are one of the few cabrios I'd actually own.
  13. The only car I have over 10 years old is a Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo. Think they are some sort of sports car..... ;) The Insignia VXR is £30k+....waaaayyyyyyy outside my budget even if I did have a measly £2k off list via a scrappage scheme. If I had £32k to spend on a new car, it wouldn't be a Vauxhall....as cool as the Insignia VXR actually is, it would be a Passat R36. It's faster, has more power, is better looking (subjective), better built and won't be worth 50p after 5 years.
  14. Well there was a reason I didn't go for the Passat R36.....ever heard of something called 'price'??? ;) I said already the Insignia was not the value for money car it 'should' be even on low brow models. It has a 6 speed box. Sits at around 2,500rpm @ 70 I think. So pretty low. Very very smooth. Has more power than the old 2.0 petrol!
  15. Well done mate! Shows a good Z! Mine has been pretty good through its MOTs and never needed anything.
  16. Looks like VTC connector. Leave it plugged in if you have boost jets.
  17. Right, just ordered a VW Passat R-line. Been leaning more toward this than pretty much anything else. They are quite affordable and excellent value for money, even compared to the Mondeo and Insignia which have seen umpteen price rises since launch. VW had only 2 price rises this year and as such are still good value. R-Line looks great with the bodykit, nice wheels and decent spec. I have gone for Biscay blue too and upgraded the audio system to touch screen, dual zone climate, and a few other bits and peices. Here's the estate version of the colour/spec I've ordered. :)
  18. Looks better when it's been freshly cleaned. :)
  19. I have a Leon and it's great! Handles like it's on rails!! Bit dirty here.
  20. I love these cars. I don't know a huge amount about them, but was looking round for one as a daily driver about 3 years ago. You want a 92 onwards.
  21. Well done Gaz! Never seen that stuff before.
  22. 2 types would be auto gear oil and manual gear oil. Plenty of threads containing such information.....search is your friend. ;)
