  1. Before they let go completely they can smoke on idle. How old are your PCVs?
  2. Sounds like a turbo could be on its way to the grave.
  3. That's a late-spec 2+2 boot carpet. Probably 95+
  4. Brand new, never been fitted, surplus to requirements. A great, easy and safe way to give your Z added wheel-track with a more flush look to the wheels. These bolt straight to your hubs and come with the necessary hardware. £35 delivered.
  5. Taking part in a little classic car rally soon organised by a school I used to attend....I had the plate through today. How apt is that number! I'll certainly be the only Z car there although a 240z occasionally runs it but it's mostly old classic Bentleys, Rolls Royce cars with a spattering of Lamborghinis and Ferraris.
  6. The best way to repair it would be to throw it in the bin and get a new one. Repairing perspex is about like trying to work a turd back up your ass.
  7. I'm one better Richard. :)
  8. I was getting my hopes up then 'Z delivered'. Nice wheels but when the hell is your Z going to be finished? I hope you haven't ever given up hope of getting it back, but it's getting slightly ridiculous now, I'd be fuming!!
  9. Happy birthday James! Go genuine!!!
  10. New bearing now pressed in. Let's hope this solves the AC noise!
  11. Yes as V-Power has a higher RON rating, so does Tesco's Momentum99. BP Ultimate is nothing more than a regular super unleaded with a few more cleaning additives in it.
  12. Yeah, I wouldn't wanna get on the wrong side of him, he could probably flatten half of Belfast!
  13. Yeah I was appalled at the speed I ate that, although your boy was just as quick and he had more topping!
  14. Little bit late in the offing; last week was a good week. Met up with Gary and his good wife for a meal and a good time was had, thanks mate and then the weekend, PolioJ came to polish my Z. We also fitted the front coilovers which has made a huge difference to the ride quality (rears were fitted ages ago) over the rather crashy Tein springs. It's also a little lower at the front too and I'm finally happy with the tide height and quality. Just some minor camber adjustments to do now. I'm ditching the Z1 FUCAs in favour of a shim kit and stock upper arms. I want smoothness and there's no need for all this adjustability on a road car if I can use fixed links to give me what I need. My biggest regret was fitting Midori style links all those years ago. Having returned to either stock or NISMO bushes, I've become more and more happy with the way the car feels in general road conditions. Also discovered the noise to my AC system and it turns out my idler pulley is as dry as Gandhi's flip flop. The main pump bearing seems super smooth so hopefully I won't need to replace it!
  15. Does anyone have a spare Air Conditioning idler pulley they don't want? Mine has become noisy so looking to get a replacement that I have a new bearing for. There are a few folk I know who have deleted theirs, so if you have an idler pulley that's totally round and not egg shaped, I'd really like it. Don't care on the condition of the bearing.
  16. Whilst I didn't watch it, I like our Royal Family. Their legacy and history bring millions and millions of pounds to UK tourism and overseas assets. It's what makes the UK unique and stand out. I support their existence and what they do as a lot of it is for charitable reasons. Yes, they're are a few flies in the ointment such as Prince Andrew, but overall, they are a great asset to the UK and its economy.
  17. Do you think they might have a minor hairline crack somewhere that doesn't show when the disk is cool but become prevalent under heat/load?
  18. Welcome. Sad that you want to put a 4-banger in it.
  19. Could also be a heap of shit. In fact it is a heap of shit.
  20. Considering the sticker price on that car would have been about 35% more, that's not bad for what is essentially a new car. Based on inflationary values too, that's probably a pretty good deal!
  21. What happened? Injector issues?
  22. No, I'll stick with the OEM one.
  23. Spent a day in the hands of Jimmer. New engine mounts, new power steering high pressure line fabricated and fitted as mine had a slight weep, replacement bellows intake passenger side as mine had split, oil change (since it was in the air). Another small oil weep from the oil tree which was sorted out. Her bottom is now lovely and clean and very dry, I can now invest in a new rear engine tray! :) Lovely jubbly indeed! Sterling work as always.
  24. That's actually a Version R though isn't it despite what it says on the auction slip.
