  1. No, you have to ask and gain permission but it was something I asked about years ago when I was looking at 911s and NSXs. It was something they were interested in.
  2. I have had 4 people PM me wanting to buy it, thank you chaps, much appreciated. I am still at a quandary. I think for now, it stays until at least after ZCON later this year. I will probably buy a Corvette C6 Z06 as I've always fancied one but will stuff the Z away for a while although I didn't want to lay out that much on another vehicle when I already have 2 taking up space.. I might even put it on display at the Haynes Motor Museum.
  3. That looks aftermarket unless it's something to do with the safety systems on later Z32s. It's certainly nothing that I've seen fitted to 89-96 cars.
  4. OK, enjoy getting bummed again by someone local because it was easier to get the car to them.....
  5. Folk have already built EV Z31 and Z32 in the US. We won't see petrol disappearing from mass available for many many more years. Legislation and law will drive auto makers to produce green energy powered vehicles however hybrid derived vehicles are not mandated to be phased out at all currently. Hybrid vehicles still require fossil based fuels too and as these fuels will be available for a long time yet. Whilst electric power is interesting and necessary, not sure I'd want an EV powered Z32. The drama of an internal combustion engine would be lost and imagine how many more rattles and squeeks you'd actually notice which would normally be masked by what's originally fitted under the bonnet.
  6. Any fast food outlet. Gross.
  7. I've seen detailed high res photos of this car. Definitely a grade 4, it's in great condition. Josh Lake bought it at auction in Japan fairly recently. Very good value IMO. As for the pricing. The only way people are going to get more for their cars is by asking a higher value for it. I have no problem with folk asking strong money for a high quality car. Jumping on the band wagon though of trying to pass off a turd as a high quality car for more money than it's really worth is something completely different.
  8. Doesn't help that it's midweek or a KFC. A weekend at a nice beauty spot or nice country pub and you might get more interest.
  9. Where the hell are you getting that figure from? I transported my Z to Essex from deepest darkest Somerset and it cost be under £200.
  10. Strange you should say that re: last sentence, I have for years now thought about stuffing it away in the Haynes Motor Museum Why? I only have one garage at my house and wouldn't put the Z out to pasture under my ownership. Strangely, that didn't make me want to sell my Z. I went on a Mercedes Action Day and had a C63S. Lovely car and lots of fun, but didn't make me want to go and sell mine. Mind you, this was last summer.
  11. I hate football!!!!!
  12. Pretty much my position. I know what I'll replace it with, if I replace it, will be something fun and exotic, but on the same vein, I don't want to part with it and then regret it further on down the line. I've missed prior cars that I've sold but never regretted it....just worried that if I do with this, it'll be hard to deal with.
  13. This is the thing, I have new Mercedes C Class AMG-Line, so I kinda know much much smoother more modern cars are and I've driven an AM V8, 911 Turbo, Ferrari 360, Ferrari California etc. Yes, they're a slightly different class, but you get the picture.
  14. I'm sure we've all been through it, I have in the past, but only vaguely. Despite spending a fortune on my Z and putting many hours into making it as good as I can, I've been slowly falling out of love with it. I mean I do still love the Z32 as a car, I still think it's an awesome machine from a really interesting era of automotive development, but feel the passion of ownership slowly ebbing away and there's seemingly nothing that I can do to reinvigorate that. I've always said I'd never sell it, but the more time slips away, the more I am contemplating it. I've been toying with the idea of an Aston Martin V8 Vantage or something completely at the other end of the spectrum, a Z06 Corvette. Something a little more modern, but just as nuts (well, in terms of a Z06 C6) and yes, I am well aware of their rear suspension, but that's easy to remove and replace. I think I'm getting old and just not really finding the enthusiasm for keeping the passion of Z32 ownership alive. I've never kept a car as long as I have done, I've always gotten bored and sold them, but that's maybe where I'm at now however it's just taken slightly longer to get there. Don't really know what to do to be honest.
  15. 1 x 300Degree Shim kit - brand new, never fitted. I've decided to go the Whiteline route, so these are now surplice to requirements. They're a camber correction kit for the front of the Z32 for those who are unfamiliar with this. They're a fit and forget solution and can cope with camber correction up to around 20mm, either by saggy stock springs or Eibach springs. These can be adjusted further than the kit suggests and I've included additional stainless steel washers for you to do this and you should see corrections capable of coping with up to approximately a 40mm drop. These cost around £70 + shipping from the US, so estimate them to cost around £90 delivered plus any taxes that might be incurred. This is for sale @ £30 incl shipping. My loss is your gain.
  16. No thanks. They're staying. :)
  17. I'm not listening to a man who cut a hole on his car and bumper for an exhaust nor one who says that SWB washer jets are different to LWB ones.
  18. Narrrr. They match the red nose badge and Z emblem on the steering wheel plus my camera saturates. They're not that red. Much more subtle.
  19. All clean for the classic car show. Scrubs up OK.

  23. This is the whole point of asking for recommendations isn't it. You're not likely to get dicked about with someone like Jim.

  25. If you've been dicked around by too many garages, surely you'd want to travel to a high quality well renowned garage? I know I did when I had substandard bodywork done by a number of local places. I ended up shipping it 4hrs away and it was well worth.
