What did you do to your zed today?
Oh I see. No it was not rust. It was because the rear screen was fitted too early after paint and it had taken some paint with it. Fortunately not visable.

What did you do to your zed today?
How the hell did I get this in the wrong forum! Can a mod please shift it into the 'what did you do to your Z thread' please?

What did you do to your zed today?
Rear screen refitted today as it had strangely lifted. Bodyshop had agreed to reimburse me even without asking. Top notch customer service. That's now been done and the car is now in for a full alignment with a well reviewed chap in Bristol. He did mine a few years ago and it felt awesome. It's only out slightly despite a huge amount of suspension changes.

Fallen in love with it all over again. :)

What did you do to your zed today?
MOT day today. :) All passed for another year with zero advisories. I actually like taking it to get the MOT as all the mechanics seem to love it and can't believe the condition it's in, a few of them took photos and I overheard some very flattering comments. Guy that tested it says it's one of the cleanest undersides he's ever MOTd. Not bad for a car approaching 30 I suppose. :)

Ev300zx
The Jetsons had the best solution for that 'I can't hear an electric vehicle' situation. If all electric vehicles sounded like this, the world would be a happy place. [video=youtube_share;QdWswvLPdE0]

A slow death
Check the connection to the idle control valve (top back end of intake manifold), check the TPS is set correctly, check for air leaks.

Wing mirror drivers side
You'll not have any joy getting them here I don't think. These were made for the Japanese after market and rarely found their way over here. They used to pop up on ebay from time to time from some importer. Fairlady Pro Shop in Japan used to sell these, I'll have a look to see if they still do. I'd personally remove them and replace with originals. What's actually wrong with them? Looks like one side is letting water in. Can you not disassemble them and clean them up?

White UK 300 breaking
Why are you bringing up refurb costs on a wheel that absolutely does not need it!?
-
White UK 300 breaking
That's way too cheap. Not too sure who told you that. MONGOOSE systems are fairly rare and a quality product. You should be getting close to £400 for that.

Toyota Supra twin turbo
They're strange looking cars. Not a massive fan of them but they are eye catching.

Toyota Supra twin turbo
......now a MK3 Supra on the other hand or an early CelicaSupra I'd take over a MK4 any day. Stuff a 2JZ in that and you have the best of both worlds.
-
Toyota Supra twin turbo
I wouldn't buy a Supra, so probably not the best to answer this but I would give the asking price of anything if it was something I really wanted. Never been a fan of the MK4 Supra but that's solely down to the way it looks rather than its dynamics. The dash on them is an example of when bland meets messy. It's ugly, the switchgear looks like it was just thrown there from the parts bin with no concern for aesthetics. The front end is totally non-descript. From a rear end view it looks fairly impressive but apart from that it's nothing more than a jelly bean. I have driven one and didn't think it any better than the Z. Whilst I don't doubt that the 2JZ and its drive train are fantastically well engineered I think they're over priced but that's because I have never had an inclination to buy one.

Occasional Starting Issues
Make sure you tighten up ALL the hose clamps. They loosen over time. You're better off replacing them with the later style spring clamps.

BMC fluid reservoir cap
This is the large plastic fluid reservoir cap for the brake master cylinder. I'd buy new, but the black ones were superseded by the yellow ones which I don't want. The seal in mine has become twisted and distorted and doesn't give the best seal it can do. Has anyone got a spare to hand with a seal that looks in reasonable shape? Needs to be the original Nissan one with the 'NISSAN' logo in the middle.

World Cup
I didn't watch a minute of it. I used it as a great excuse to take out the Z to see if I could reinvigorate my passion with it as I have about as much interest in football as I have in having a bout of chronic diarrhoea. Well it worked....after spending some time yesterday on all fours sorting a few suspension things out, it seems to have done the trick. Lovely drive, car feels sharp and smooth and the engine is still a gem. Few little things I want to do to it over the next few months (VTC Helix, full alignment and a trip to Vibration-Free). It's staying.

Losing the love with the Z
I might be a mouthy ****, but I'm not stupid Bri. I'd be lucky to get back 1/4 of what I spent on the Z, but that doesn't concern me so much. I'd never want a wildly high figure I am realistic with these things. It would be at the top end of the scale for sure, but not over the top. I am leaning more toward keeping it and getting another toy at the end of the year and just living with lots of cars.

NISMO bushed refurbished rear arms and tension rods
Fully refurbished rear control arms, tension rods and rear arm bolts with NISMO bushes. These have done around 3000 miles of moderate good weather street driving. NISMO bushes are similar to stock however with a harder shore rate which ultimately gives you a longer lasting and more solid bush over stock without compromising on stock levels of NVH giving you a complaint ride. The rear arms have been bead blasted, powder coat primed and powder coated in satin black to give an original yet durable finish unlike stock arms which are wet painted with a very thin paint. Save all the agro and hassle when rebuilding your rear end of buying new OE arms which are lower spec and hugely more expensive/or the hassle of refurbishing your existing ones, again a much more expensive route than buying these. The bushes alone on these were £40 a peice plus shipping making this a bargain, that value is before the cost of powder coating and the cam-lock eccentric control arm bolts. £90 + P&P for all 4 arms plus control arm bolts (newish OEM). The attached photos were taken after being removed from the car.

Losing the love with the Z
That makes a little more sense although I do enjoy 'the underdog' aspect of the Z32.
-
Losing the love with the Z
No idea what that is supposed to mean. I've made some awesome friends owning a Z32 across the globe.
