Perspex strip
Another tip....for keeping it clean and polished (as well as your rear lights - if you have lovely 99 spec rears of course), Mr Sheen and a very fluffy soft cloth (like a duster) brings out any swirls and gives the plastic really deep lustre.

Perspex strip
The perspex strip isn't hassle mate. I've never had a problem with then. They are delicate, I agree, but they're not that bad.

Perspex strip
....gradually lift it up from the bottom of the very centre of the strip. That'll lift it also.

Perspex strip
....as a tip, undo all the nuts and gently push from where the third brakelight is, this is the strong part of the unit. Pull it from either end and and it will snap/crack/shit its pants. If you haven't got the third brakelight, use something flat and wide and push from the centre out. It'll gradually release. Don't remove the nuts completely either, lightly push those after you've loosened the central part. Once it's free, remove the nuts completely and carefully remove it.

Removed and refitted mine a number of times, you just have to take your time.

Got stuck buy a tool
You don't need to drop the whole lining off. When you take off the rear trim around the tailgate aperture (the metal one), it partially drops down. Unscrew the interior light and allow it to hang down further, the flex in the cable and the light itself prevent it from dropping too low. You'll then be able to get access to all the nuts holding the central roof trim on.

Yeah that sounds good. They do have a Z car presence there, albeit a small one. They have a 240z and I think a 350.

Big joint Southern, Western and Welsh meet at Haynes Motor Museum - 1st September???
Will obviously leave this to the respective REO as to whether your area would want to take part in this. It's easy access for all South Central members being just off the A303 near Wincanton. Haynes Motor Museum is an awesome place. We had a Z meet there about 6 or 7 years ago and people came from Wales, Devon, Cornwall, the south coast. I think it's high time another large gathering was organised for those that either don't want to make the drive up to northern wherever to where most of the large shows are. http://www.haynesmotormuseum.com/ There are some awesome cars here and it really is a great day out and not expensive. If anyone isn't aware of this place, then I'd be surprised. It's owned by John Haynes who started the Haynes Manuals and is one of the largest car collections in the UK. Entrance is only a tenner, so it isn't going to break anyone's bank. There are cars from all walks of life from classics to super cars, even a few chavy modified things that they built with Lax Power, so if you're into your filler and fibreglass, you can get your fix here too! :) Sunday September 1st is actually the 'rare breeds event' and it certainly would be good to bring some Z32s to the mix and maybe of the 350z club or Zclub want to join in, that would be awesome. http://www.haynesmotormuseum.com/events/2285-9700/rare-breeds-car-show.php

As there's no REO here, I'll post this up to see if any of you guys fancy it. It's relatively easy access too being off of the A303, not too far from Yeovil. Haynes Motor Museum is an awesome place. French police step up watch on British drivers
....I go to France 3-4 times a year anyway, but usually my VW. I last took the Z July last year. I've only just pulled all of the Brittany Ferries tickets and cabin things out of the glovebox. I have never had any trouble, just the one time and that was totally my fault for speeding.
