  1. A: You barely drove your car before you took it all apart B: You probably had a worn out system :p TBH, it is a bit of a gimmick, but it works just fine if you have a good system with no wear in it. I've driven it with and without and both are good.

  3. 96+ has a different inlet manifold, there are few differences however, slightly different casting marks and some extra bracketry ; what the 96 model does have are slightly better heads. The airbag (singular) - dual only on US models was a delete option, there's a later non-airbag wheel that looks a little strange.

  5. It depends whether the knock is coming from the inner or outer joint. Both fail. You can get HICAS arms here (which are the inner joint too): http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/381329683111?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I can't remember whether you can still buy genuine ones or not.

  7. I'd miss cruise control for sure as when I use my Z, it tends to go on quite long and mixed jaunts! :) I know that it was a seldom fitted option on later cars. I couldn't live with a car without cruise control anymore, but that's just me. :)

  9. Probably long since been scrapped. It's not showing anything on the DVLA's website - however there's usually some sort of marker so it could now be riding round on a cherished plate. I'd imagine that it probably doesn't exist anymore though.

  11. Welcome. As has been mentioned, there aren't too many 98+ cars about, you'll be waiting a long time to find a manual TT 99 spec in pearl white. I'm certainly not aware of any in pearl white of that year being over here actually. I wouldn't limit yourself to that year either. Other than the optional HIDs, they are generally of a lower specification to the earlier models.

  18. 10" @ 48 should be ok. I run 10" @ ET 40 on my rear. Mind you, why did you go for 17"!?! I think the diameter might cause you some issues with that width. 10mm spacers would help, but you'll need longer studs and an arch lip roll.

  20. Great pics chaps! Was great to be part of - as Joel said, it was a strange event, but a really nice day out. Thanks to Andrew for organising.
  21. Vig's management team is actually Toronto based, I can't see there being too much of an issue. :)
  22. Let's do it then! We discussed going to ZCon next year. I am sure Vig will go too!
