  1. You could at least keep it clean! You have half the Rathwood Forest on your scuttle panel!
  2. I rarely wet-wash my Z as it seldom gets dirt on it, just very light brake dust and flies. I mostly do quick 10 minute wipedown with Megs quick detailer after I've driven it. What's underneath has a good 4 or 5 coats of wax on it. I do have quite a lot of kit in the garage though for all sorts of applications. The main manufacturers I use are Zymol (the wax and leather cleaner), Autoglym glass polish and SRP, I also have some Collinite 476. I have Balglom Alu and Autosol metal cleaners. I don't use wheel sealants as I find that a quality wax generally does the job as my car doesn't see harsh environments - so I apply Zymol wax to the wheels. I have Gummi Pflege Stift rubber care stick for window trims, in terms of tyre dressing, I have found a dirt cheap tyre wax spray that makes a mess, but leaves the tyres super glossy - only good for car shows really. I rarely clay it as it just never gets the chance to pick up any contaminants, I don't snowfloam, again for that reason and I don't use the 2BM / grit guard as again, it just never gets large particles stuck to it and it's always garaged.
  3. Picked up my BBS LM from the refinishers today. Had them do a mild refurb on them to make them look a little sharper and more glossy. Not the best photos in the world, but I am pretty happy with them. They managed to match the shade of silver very well to the original.
  4. I've never seen it in that light before Lee. But I agree. Car bra = gimp mask!
  5. I 3rd that! They're terrible, I'd rather have a few stone chips!
  6. Instead of brushing them in a sideways motion, you could always 'stipple' them with the brush. You won't get brush strokes then. TBH, getting the powdercoated isn't expensive if you wanted to go that route.
  7. Alas, I reckon all he'll get is a fine (damages) that he'll pay for the next 35 years @ £5 a week. They should shove those keys in his pee-hole and that stroller up his ass.
  8. Good man! SS nipples and Brembo caps :)
  9. Probably and that's because it's Nissan's own vehicle and can usually be found on display at the 'Nissan Heritage Center' in Nashville. :)
  10. For the time being, yes. Plans are still there in the background.
  11. Yup. He trades under PowerZed.
  12. Take your car to Jimmer @ PowerZed. /thread PS: He's on holiday at the moment, gets back next week. If you're desperate to get it done right this second, then I'd also suggest Lee Dent, but he's quite a bit further away.
  13. Thanks for all the info guys. Eggs, my new house hasn't been built yet, just the footings are in - I am just going through the process of how I want the garage to look - it will have a flat entrance way/drive in front of.
  14. Awesome! Thanks Dean!
  15. It's gonna be a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooong ass drive!
  16. You might see a white Z in that edition.... ;)
  17. Thanks Dean! That would be awesome! Thanks for the link Gary! The plan is to lay a screed and then tiles so there'll be no gaps. Should be strong enough. I generally jack my car outside the garage however it is currently in the garage on axel stands, but I don't need to be doing that.
  18. This is the sort of thing I'm looking for: The plan is also to get a Nismo or 'Z' illuminator similar this:
  19. Has anyone ever tiled their garage floor? I'm not talking about those interlocking plastic things, I'm talking about ceramic floor tiles. Not quite like this, but similar: It's an integrated garage, so the aim is also to cement-plaster the walls and paint all that too. There's bugger all on the market in the UK and it just seems to be flooded with those interlocking plastic ones which I really don't like. Would laying a screed and then placing floor tiles on top give it the best chance? The anti-slip ceramic tiles that I see cost an absolute fortune - just wondering if there are any other options?
  20. If you're keeping it off the road for 6 months, don't bother starting it up and leaving it for short periods. The best thing you can do is leave it switched off otherwise you're introducing issues. Lots of cold starts when you're not really using it will not only introduce condensation into the engine, but also the connectors - not to mention the top end. I usually store mine from November through until April and I just put it in the garage (which is where it lives anyway), handbrake off, take off the battery and throw a dust sheet over it. You can put it on axel stands, but for 6 months of dry-storing, it should be ok being left providing the tyres are pumped up and in good condition.
