What to colour should I pick
Yes I have, the finish doesn't last either. I'm not impressed with wraps at all. Open the doors and the old colour is there. There's only so much that wrap can cover.

A fresh coat of a super bright white will make that car stand out. While you're at it, replace the fog lights and align your headlights correctly. The panel alignment down the side looks a little 'off' too. I wouldn't wrap a car. I'm not a fan of the stuff at all. Never looks as glossy or as deep as regular paint.

What did you do to your zed today?
Of course, on earlier model Z32s, but only imports. UK/Euro models don't have them. Side marker illumination/reflectiveness is only something that's mandatory in Japan and the United States. It's not mandatory in the UK, but there's also no law or directive prohibiting them, certainly not on cars going through SVA.

I think it has something to do with the way autos are now designed and manufactured which has help increase their popularity in Europe. Their gear-change is lightening quick as many are now dual clutch systems. Many VAG vehicles have their DSG, most supercars, higher end sports cars and luxury cars have them also. Most GM and French manufactured vehicles still use archaic and rather agricultural autoboxes unfortunately, but I'm sure that'll change as manufacturing processes become cheaper as they continue to be build en masse. Nissan have tried introducing the CVT automatic transmission on a couple of its US manufactured cars, something that Daf pioneered in the 60s. We had a few cars in the 80s and 90s that used this system, Fiat and Ford used this in a number of their cars, but it's a transmission that's never really caught on.

They're not illegal. Z32s pass SVA when they come into the country and get through - that tests for legalities and lighting configurations. There's also nothing noted in MOT guidelines. You're fine with your red side markers.

Illuminated bumper markers were an option fitted to many Z32s. You can get those units already fitted with bulb holders. I fitted these about 10 years ago to mine and the wiring was fortunately there, so it was a 10 minute job. I am sure someone like Baz would have a set.

rear windscreen trim/seal
Rear screen removal is fine providing you find an experienced glass fitter. Had my rear screen out twice, as has Joel and neither times they've broken. :)

rear windscreen trim/seal
How do you get round the gap between the top seal and the universal rubber seal? I'm guessing the corner trim tabs will now no longer fit?

rear windscreen trim/seal
Yes, window needs to come out.

Fellow car guy just scored again!!!! GTR
I've driven the R35 GTR and I love the autobox in it. It's such an incredible vehicle to drive.

Nice! I'll always use small independents! They rely on repeat business so will always try and do a good job.

Big thanks to Graham (groover)
I've still got to get Graham to do my dash at some point!

....indeed, which makes it pointless. lol :) You still effectively have 4 gears with the auto-box. O/D just holds the change a little higher up the rev range. I have nothing wrong with autobox in the Z32, it does what it says on the tin. It is good if you're into traffic light grand prix or 1/4 mile, it's just rather agricultural for me. Hearing a manual shifting Z32 TT does sound better too, especially on run-down.

....and pointless. The Z32 autobox is not a racebox and shifting is slow and you have a choice of 4 whole gears.

The F1 Thread
I'm sure Rupert lined Bernie's pockets handsomely. Bernie can go forth and multiply - I can't wait until he retires, he's an awful ambassador for the sport. I hope they get someone like Jackie Stewart or Nigel Mansell to replace him.

The F1 Thread
Totally agree! I won't subscribe to Sky, 3 reasons, I don't watch enough TV to warrant getting 'extra', Sky Sports is mostly just football anyway (which is about as exciting to me as a thumb-in-the-eye) and I won't subscribe to ANYTHINING related to Rupert Murdock. It was bad enough when it went over to commercial channels after BBC's budget cuts meant no more F1, but MORE ****ing football, but now to Sky - sad days. :(

would these fit a Zed?
Pretty much identical to what I was running on my old wheels and tyres. Fronts were the same and the rears I had a +30 on a 9.5". I did have to roll my rear arch lip ever so slightly though. The front did catch slightly on one of the arch liner tabs, but it all fitted just fine.

twin turbo zx
Wait for a good TT dude - I don't think the NAs are all that quick, they're 'adequate'. If you're going from a Supra TT to a 300zx NA, then you'll be pretty underwhelmed with the performance. There's nothing wrong with the NA (I have one that I use in the US), but I think you'll be expecting rather a lot more than it will be able to deliver. The market is also TT biased, so should you ever want to sell, you'll find it easier - get a manual also.

Wheels - too good to be true?
Not sure anyone would fake something that's an immitation. The wheels are imitation split rims. £1200 is too much and £300 is too little. I'd stear clear.

Security for the Z *almost lost her*
TBH, if you're broke and want to disable the car, just pull the fuel pump relay.....or take all the green relays out, so they can't swap them over.

It's grim, real grim, but there's no way it's worse than these:

Photoshop my wheels anyone?
Howard, just get your bodywork sorted out first, that bumper especially! I managed to get the marks off your rear bumper, but for heaven sake, get the front end sorted out, it's been like that for years! :p

ZCentre side mount intercooler kit
Yes. However, there's no flow information, but they are substantially larger than stock. Go too big and you'll have too much of a pressure drop which can have the reverse effect. For only 450, I'd go with Z1 SMICs - I don't really know much about the ZCentre ones. They look like copies of the larger Ashspec Massivs.
