  1. I can't for the life of me understand why you'd want to fit a big ugly Veilside bumper to this car. Strange bonnet vents aside, it looks really nice! :)

  3. Good choice, just don't get gold centres!
  4. Seen it, dislike it - looks ridiculous.
  5. Smithy bought it?
  6. My pants stayed on and no butt plugs went anywhere near me!
  7. ^^ that's not the same part. That's the old ZThirtyTwo part which is a different design, to be honest, I prefer it. Not really my thing though, having Z logos stamped or pressed onto almost every metal part..... :nelson:
  8. The red it is now is more red than the black that it was in! Stock body is the best look IMO. It's why most of us fell in love with the car's stunning shape to begin with it. The design was almost spot-on from the master designers at Nissan. No amount of fibreglass hobnobs made by a bloke in shed or little trinkets is going to really do much to improve its already sleek and sexy shape.
  9. I was lucky that I didn't need to sell anything to buy my house - I feel for you dude, I'd be distraught if I had to get rid of my Z! The car's become almost a 'friend' to me over the years and I can't imagine not having it!
  10. Looking really good now that you've replaced that awful nose panel and black bonnet. Nice Steve!
  11. Make sure than when you read the English version of the translation, you do it with a Mr Miyagi accent! It sounds genuinely Japanese! haha
  12. Orbital polisher is fine. Less chance of burning the paint than a rotary. Remember he painted in celly and it hasn't been baked. Rotary on everything else.
  13. Nice stuff Ash! Is that a planar kit I see!?
  14. Seen one before and was considering one years and years ago when they were a little newer. They lack the power I was looking for, but they're really interesting vehicles. Haven't seen another on the road for eons.
  15. I think you have that the wrong way round! Nose panel aside, the front is great, the rear looks like a fat overweight heffer. Sometimes wide arch conversions go a little too far, that one has. The spud guns don't really help and I think that probably skews the perspective. It just doesn't look quite right from the back - I think it's because it's had the swageline removed, yet on the sides and front, it's still there - doesn't quite work, needs to be all or nothing.
  16. I think the subframe is now NLS Andrew. I believe 5540044P13 to be the part number which is now listed as discontinued.
  17. Looking for a very good condition jack foam box from the right hand side of the boot in a LWB. I just need the foam, not the tools. The main thing it HAS to have are all the securing holes need to be completely intact (unlike the one pictured). Many have just been ripped out without removing the round plastic clips first and as a result, when you refit, you can't secure it. Looking for a really clean one with the above prerequisite in grey.
  18. No bueno. Sorry dude. :( At least you removed that bizarre and oddly place 'Z32' tin foil from the TBL.
  19. In that case, keep the originals! :)
  20. If you have a TT, then fitting a UK cluster set is by far and away the 'best' solution. With the limited resistor, you're reducing the point at where the HICAS operates as it takes a pulse from the cluster. Now, this isn't a problem if you're getting rid of it, but if you're looking to retain that feature, then I highly suggest fitting UK clocks.
  21. I wouldn't apply wax yet. You need to give the paint plenty of time to flash-off. I'd start off with 2500grit and then 3000grit and then polish. I'd polish with an orbital machine polisher too. What did you paint it with? Cellulose? Good effort by the way!
  22. It is all personal preferences, however I've driven lots of Z32s over the years, many with short throw shifters and not one of them comes close to the feel of a fully working and well maintained stock shifter. Maybe your stock shifter was worn in the first place. ;)
  23. Stock shiftnob and mechanism are the only ones to go. Well engineer from the off. Short-throw shifters are awful and ruin the feel IMO.
  24. Never had a problem with my manual. Silky smooth gear change. I love the gear change on it actually - all stock, even stock nylon bushes (replaced). A very positive feeling and shifting manual IMO.
