  1. so... After all that did a test fit today and they wouldn't fit without spacers (hit the knuckle), and with 20mm spacers they stick out too far and the fitment goes to poo. On they bay they go!! along with the spacers haha. Was worth a punt so don't mind too much and was interesting to have a play at least I reckon with a lot of messing and trying different spacers I could get something to work, but would be time, money, setup etc. Lesson here though.. prior planning prevents piss poor performance.
  2. Hi all, Brand new unused 20mm spacers. Good quality bolt on spacers. Bought to try and get some new wheels to fit but alas the fitment isn't right so having to sell :( I have two pairs available, £50 a set so £15 saving from new! Best regards, William
  3. Yeah good work on that diy one! I am desperate to do mine, looking at interior innovations too..
  4. ahhh i really want to go!! Last year I was at a wedding and this year I am in weymouth with old uni friends for some camping that I arranged... Very tempted to ditch them all that morning and head down or drag them all along but I can't see either of those going down well... :(
  5. Nice pic haha, whos zed? I see what you are saying but the fitment on that pic doesn't look great either. I wish I could have found 18s but haven't seen any for sale, and until I am rich enough for some TE-37s I have to make to with ebay and forum finds :p going to test fit next week. I picked up 4 proper hubcentric bolt on spacers so will see what I can get away with! Fingers crossed. OHHH when is beaulieu ?!
  6. Yeah I had one of these leak, made the car misfire constantly! Luckily Jeff was on it and had it sorted :)
  7. okay I will have a play and see what it is like! may just get away with it.... Rear subframe is probably too much work at the moment. I know a lot of people do it for the performance?.. I am not quite there yet.
  8. Hi Guys, So I picked up a couple of cheap sets of coilovers earlier in the year but that isn't working out and i'm skint so selling what I have and may pick up a new set at some point to save any hassle. £125 - Complete set of 4 HKS coilovers. front left has an oil leak but apparently wasn't knocking on the car (bought from Tookbox trev). £20 - Pair of Bilstein Front Coilovers. Apparently came off of a zed, but my mechanic doesn't reckon the springs are long enough... not sure if that means it would just sit really low? (was hoping to use these and the HKS rears to make a temporary set for the zed but now I am not hence selling the lot). £20 - Pair of Kei Office Rear Coilovers. Again apparently came off of a zed, but can't be sure. Look fine without leaks. One of the top bolts has sheared, but looks like you can replace with another bolt. Will add photos later. Collection from Lymington/Southampton, or can arrange courier. Cheers!
  9. Thanks Steve, much appreciated as always! Dan cheers for pics, I guess the point is if they are fixed then as long as the wheels fit there wont be any movement once you are on the road for anythign to rub. Si, I saw them for sale and grabbed them, really hard to find the f-zero wheels and love them. Do you mean I should have probably gone for 18"?... It sounds like a lot of hassle with an arch roll etc to get them to fit.. argghh what a shame. It was mainly to replace the f-zero alloys on the car at the moment which to fit as they are an inch narrower, but the previous owner ruined them with a shocking respray. ahhh I want them on thre car haha http://www.sti-club.su/upload/137207241831633_main_img.jpg - - - Updated - - - I will play about with eth spacers I have at the weekend and do some test fittings... see how close to the bone it it. How much do the HICAS knuckles move when driving?

  11. will that remove the linkages too? what kind of improvement did you notice?

  13. Hello everyone, So I bought some "new" volk f-zero wheels recently and can't wait to get them on. They are 17 x 9 et 45 on the front, and 17 x 10 et 48. I had a quick look against stock and thought yeah that will be fine, before noticing the HICAS!! :( So I have worked out that on the rears I will be 6mm wider on the outside (fine), but on the inside I will be 32mm wider!! Oops. Obviously this won't work with HICAS and will hit the linkage. So what are the options?... I have 15mm hubcentric spacers, which will reduce it to 17mm wider on the inside, but will this still be too close? I can't tell at the moment as I don't know the sizes of the wheels on it currently. If spacers would work then I can get some extended hub bolts which should be okay? Also the spacers I have aren't bolt ons but are apparently hubcentric, will they be okay? Personally I am thinking stick the 15mm on the front perhaps and get some decent hubcentric bolt on 20 or 25mm spacers on the rear?... Hmmmmmmm Cheers!! William

  15. Thanks for the heads up :) This is the guy I use for alignment, always very good! Has a good laser system which is apparently better than the hunter machines. http://www.wheelalignmentcentre.co.uk/about.htm Is yours back on the road now then? How is she running??
  16. ahh okay cool! I have a friend who is a mechanic of 30 yrs who does most of my stuff, and then going over southampton to the wheels alignment center to have the tracking done. They specialise in lowered/drift cars. I have all adjustable parts so should be able to get a nice setup! Just dreading the drive there haha.
  17. Yeah true - if I have new discs and pads though (the old ones are really worn) wont that mean I have less clearance on the new ones? I literally get by with about 1mm at the moment ha.
  18. bums! I only just thought, aha! what if the bolts aren't long enough. Haven't upgraded the calipers, but have some drilled and grooved discs and street performance pads going on, so hopefully notice something!
  19. Hey guys, Quick one as all the googling on earth hasn't helped me with this so far. I am having some new wheels, coilovers, and brakes fit on weds, and have bought some spacers to prevent rubbing. But I am wondering whether i will need to get some extended bolts for 16mm spacers? Here is the link.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/361035230325?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&var=630370844425&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Any help appreciated!
  20. Hi guys, If any one has some of these available please let me know asap, I will need them for Weds. Always a bit risky ordering from the bay as I can't guarantee they will arrive in time for the wheels to be fit on Weds. Just getting them as a precaution as I think the calipers wont clear the wheel once the new discs and pads go on! Cheers, William.
  21. Hi Guys, In reasonably urgent need of a full set of feet for the zed. tt import if that makes any difference?... Let me know if anyone has some available! best, W
  22. I think it can be used off of multiple items in your basket though, so add them up and pay all sellers at once for maximum discount :)
  23. Hi guys, Up until midnight tonight you can use the Paypal code CTWENTY when using checkout on ebay so get up to 50 quid off purchases! Only redemmable once per Paypal account and only today. Great excuse to buy some zed parts :) Enjoy
