  1. Yeah cheers mate I did have a look at Z1 - i LOVe the NeXUS gauges but they are a bit too pricey for me - the main problem though is that they are based in the US so will take ages to ship here! Thanks for finding them though
  2. I dont know much about the autometer range - any recommendations on a supplier?
  3. I want three gauges in the centre console that look as OEM as possible. I'm having real difficulty sourcing the Defi "racer" gauge with white background and red needle - NOBODY seems to have them in stock - any idea where I could get hold of these or similar? The Defi BF look the best but only come in 60mm rather than the 52mm that I need. I could obviously just order them and put up with the wait but the problem is my car is parked up at the Garage now and Id rather have everything done in one go rather than taking it out and booking it in again! Any suggestions chaps?
  4. Oilman, is it better to use a top spec oil in your car and change at the recommended frequency OR a cheaper (though still good grade of oil) and change twice as frequently for the same overall cost?
  5. Go for it!! I think it can look pretty cool - like a stealth bomber but if you are going to do it i would strongly advise you to stay away from the smoked lenses etc. it will make the car look awful as it will be too black. Far better to stick to the 99 spec lights - the detailing will make a huge difference rather like the tasty merc above!
  6. Z centre used to do these but they are no longer on the website. Anyone know a good UK source or will it have to be Coutesy Parts USA? Ideally I would prefer it without the red stitching - c'est possible?
  7. Im after a new exhaust mate - how did you get on with these?
  8. The very front of the dashboard where it meets the windscreen has started peeling upwards. You cant see it from the drivers seat but outside the car looking in you can see a thin brown strip at the bottom of the windscreen. Anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it? cheers
  9. Feck! Sounds like a luck escape! A friend of mine died recently on the motorway after aaquaplaning and hitting the armco then being whacked by a truck. Glad yo hear you are OK. Loving your smoothed off tailgate - a good white Z looks ultra modern. How are you going to sort it? C&S Wood?
  10. Hi mate - that was me! Were you in the white UK Z? It looked absolutely beautiful!
  11. Thanks chaps! Got it back today - a 40gm weight had worked itself off the drivers front wheel - replaced and now all sorted!
  12. Thanks for all the valuable advice !! Will take it back and get it sorted now.
  13. This may be a silly question. Took my SWB Z to a garage for new bridgestones all round. After taking all the wheels off they told me that one of the rods was bent underneath the car throwing out my tracking but not to worry since they had straightened it. new wheels back on - only issue was they could not fit the (cosmetic) centre cap on the rear wheel of my super advans for some reason. Anyway I drove off - no problems till hitting 60 mph when i am now getting juddering through the steering wheel. The car is sitting out on the drive - Im obviuously keen to take it back but am nervous about driving it there - what the f*ck have they done> any ideas chaps?
  14. Not f*cking likely http://driving.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/driving/article3842848.ece
  15. Going past the Manachester Royal Infirmary on Tuesday - not sure whether it had tigerskin seats!
  16. ITV have done a good job with F1 to be fair - lots of pre and post race coverage that was never on the BBC - also good presenters and analysis.
  17. "A Surgeon...on this site...blimey, I'd have though you'd be more into Porche turbo's, continental GT's, Lambos and other italian exotica... We're blessed." Well you would be if NuLabour hadn't given my career prospects such a shoeing - I'm working in Accident and Emergency at the moment whilst applying for a registrar post. Alway's loved the Zed since i was a kid - I found one of my Dad's porno mags while my parents were out one day and there was an advert showing a 300zx parked on a clifftop - above it it said "Impractical, uses too much petrol and far too much power for me to handle. I'll take one!" Been a fan ever since. Last year I was working in Orthopaedics and my boss did a lot of private work - he is Man Utd's othopaedic surgeon. He drives a porsche turbo but my Silver SWB TT with Super Advans got more turned heads! (mainly from people saying - "what the **** is that?") Air Nissan is the only way to fly!
  18. I'm a surgeon. You can try various gargles which will can numb the back of your throat a bit or if the pain is SEVERE you can get a direct local anaesthetic which you can just spray onto the painful areas. The only downside with the second option is that you wont be able to swallow much for the next six hours since it might go down to your lungs. Depends how much pain you are in I guess.
  19. cheers guys - Stevie the company have actually said they will mark it as a gift but surely this is too easy to work?
  20. Time for me to get a new laptop - i have found the one i want for CHEAPO DOLLARES in the USA - the company say they will claim i only paid $400 rather than the real price of $2000 Anyone know if this sneakiness will help me beat the taxman or are customs too smart?
  21. Is Uzi Nissan a cool name or naff?
  22. salford - but went to school in Bolton and am round there a lot in my JDM SWB silver Z
