Ok, so I checked the level today and it seemed a little low, so I grabbed a mate and got him to shift through the gears while I topped her up while engine running. test drove it and still the same ;(. tried again to do the diagnostic and still no light. as I mentioned on my earlier post I cleaned all the ECU and Gearbox ECU connections with WD40 electrical contact cleaner, so just to be sure I went over it again and I have left all unplugged till the morning just to be sure they dry ok. I cant see what the problem can be, after the gear box oil change I noticed the car's shifting was a lot smoother than before and it did go through all the gears, so how can it suddenly just stop going past 2nd gear? im praying my gearbox hasn't had it! I think I recall JeffTT saying that my zed had a gearbox change or reconditioned one a few years back.

I have also searched this forum and apparently on import autos the power light is the one used for the diagnostics according to a thread on here ive tried for at least an hour now and cant get any codes power light just stays blank after ut coming on briefly for 2 seconds im wondering if its anything ive done last week I might have disturbed? Hi, ive no AT light , so I removed the dash part and checked the bulb with another ( working bulb) and still does not come on. ;(

As you all know ive posted a lot threads on here wanting help . I intend to keep the car till its dying days , ive spent a fair amount of money correcting things , thing which are stressful and some which make me feel better, it seems that soon as I fix one thing another turns up lol. expected though I guess as she's 25 years old. Changed the auto gearbox oil the other day, oil came out really black, however there where no metal deposits in the sump it was just oil. nothing stuck to the swarf magnet either. after the change it ran fine, but now its starting to take a little longer to change gear, almost like its reving really high to about 4000 + before changing, that is on a steady drive with no putting the foot down, understandably I live in a very hilly area, so ive tried this on flat roads the best I can, what could this be? TPS maybe? Another thing is that since I removed my dash instrument cluster to check for corrosion on the plugs, my oil pressure gage from cold start is in between 0 and 4 before I done this the reading from cold was just below the 8 but it dropped down to between 0-4 after it was warm. I have changed the oil pressure sensor for a new one, what are the readings everyone else is getting? does this sound normal? can I buy an after market oil pressure sensor? and how easy is it to install. Thought I'd have a quick peek at the steering wheel issue I have this evening, and it turns out no matter how tight I tighten the two 13mm bolts either side the wheel still shifts from side to side, after further examination I noticed that there is two alloy V shaped sleeves on each bolt which the plate slides into. do these or used to have some form of plastic bush type or rubber? as mine are totally bare. if so where can I get some from please? ;)

Hi, thought I'd spend some time on the zed today, as I had a water leak down by the ECU ( passenger foot well ) the leak has now been sorted I thought I'd check all the connections to all the stuff down there, basically unplugged everything carefully to check for any corrosion and to my surprise everything was clean and dry. so I just sprayed all connections with Pirelli electrical joint compound to make a good contact and to prevent any oxidation in the future............... now my car seems to be running faster than before???? any idea's?

Yeah odd aint it . Its only a pain when you first drive the car as it sounds elcectric... does yours go after about 10 mins of driving? Im doing a gearbox oil change at the moment but I doubt that will be bit although the oil is black as! Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

Hi, Had this noise for about 6 months now, not sure what it is but it does it while idle and while driven, but stops after about 10 mins , ive changed all the tentioners, pulleys, alternator. This is the link. any ideas?

hmmmm still non the wiser lol. see the nut on the left hand side of my picture you can see what's left where the wire was attached. this is my concern , we removed one wire and a plug , as the other was already off. if that was the battery wire how on earth was my battery lasting so long? my zed is 89

So my cars been running without the battery connected for about 4 months! groover can you confirm what that pink ish coloured connection is again please?

Hi all, removed my alternator this evening and noticed there is a wire broken off.... its obviously been off for a while as its badly corroded and greasy as heck im hoping its just an earth??
