Just seen a post on here regarding the hicas, is there a way of telling if its working? When I bought my zed it had an aftermarket steering wheel on also, so I put back the original one but don't recall seeing a yellow mark or any pins, for all I know is it possible that the hicas on mine is somehow turned off? Second problem is I have a leak when it rains, it's not the targa rubber (I don't think) And both the drain holes are clear. It's coming down the side panel just below the glove box in the passenger side footwell, just in front of the ecu which is worrying.. I've checked the trim on the left hand side which runs down the windscreen And stuck a bead of silicone along the length of it. But it's still coming in from somewhere ..... Also is it normal for water to sit in the gaps around the rear lights? There are fitted correctly.

The pair? Are they ok, before you took them off was the door aligned ok? Any play? Cheers

easy, the only problem I came across was that the bulb holder needed to be trimmed down a little. and trying to find a place for the ballast to go as its pretty tight in there!

Hi sparx, Are they new hinges? If so I reckon I could get away with the passenger side :)

the ones I have , mainly the drivers side are so worn its causing leaks where the window meets the rubber, also its gauged out a groove in the pillar. rather than get them re adjusted which I have a print out of what needs to be done to fix the problem, eventually they too will start to sag, if I buy new, then at least they will last a lot longer than the originals that have been re-aligned. seeing that they are very heavy doors and considering the age of the car 23 years old I would have though new ones would give me less hassel in the long run?

Hi. Bought some hid 6000k kit. Was wondering how hard it is to fit on a zed? Do I have to make any holes in the light unit?

that looks spot on, its my drivers side thats the worse, about half n inch dropped down, making the seal leak with water, and the bracket on the door is slowly wearing away the door pillar

Hello again. Hi have any of you guys done a door alignment on your zed? ive got a print out of what needs to be done but what if its the pin thats worn and not the hinges loose/ need tightening? any suggestions?

Hello all, As you may already know, ive not had the car that long, but the first thing i done to her was oil and filter change, fuel filter change, plugs changed (iridium) , starts first time everytime. brilliant response from the throttle, but theres a little white smoke and what seems to be water-oil-soot type stuff spitting out the exhausts, is this due to the turbos going tits up? or is it just cos of the size of the back boxes? she smokes a little when started from cold but when i floor it theres hardly any or none at all. i guess im just being causious , i dont want the thing to give up on me, and if theres anything i can do to prevent this im happy to take your expert advice! Thank you

ive looked at my other thread, that was electrical related, ive since fixed that part. i need to know if the vac hoses are in the corret order, and does that other unit get clogged up? is it worth stripping it and cleaning it?

ok will check that. thanks shots ;) who ever had this car before me obviously didnt know to to install it correctly, is there any where that i can get a diagram of where the vacum hoses go? i rekon there not installed propery.

Hi all,. got a problem with my boost controller, after sorting out the no power issue, the unit which is on top in the picture now doesnt do anything, before it was making a sound, now nothing, i was wondering if these get clogged up? or dirty? may need a clean?

Any of you looked at ebay recently for zeds? there's a few funny ones on there, especially the one with the missus lol. also ive noticed a lot of them on there have been fooked about with so much that they look awful!, however a nice old 88 one on there ;)

Hi , it was working fine until the battery went flat, before then the Unit under bonnet with the 3 outlets/inlets did make a humming/clicking noise for a short period while the engine was switched off after a run, I've tried a multimeter at both ends, the feed going to the unit and the feed going to the unit under the bonnet. No power. Checked all fuses all ok. Where is the solinoid located?

Hi, sorry for repost but this is driving me nuts. Theres a HKS evc 1 boost controller installed in my zed, although ive never used it yet it was powering up fine, but since having a flat battery, and since recharging it the unit wont power on anymore, does anyone know if theres a in-line fuse for this? or does it run directly from the ignition? ive traced the wire loom from the rear of the unit and all seems in order and im unable to find a fuse....... help!
