  1. Some stonking machines there!!
  2. Quite a few members on here have single props. Including FunkySi on his LWB, and I'm sure you've seen just how fussy he is with his car! ;)
  3. Gaz, my mate could more than likely find you a super-clean Ovlov 240 estate - his brother-in-law is chief mechanic at a local Volvo specialist and there always getting little gems in. He had a 480 Turbo that he offered me a few months ago (as he knows I'm quite fond of them) and there's always some old dear or old duffer that has to get rid of their barge... :thumbup1:
  4. The Opel Manta 400 (bottom pic) was a Group B rally car, powered by a Cosworth-tuned engine (before Cosworth were cool). In order to satisfy homologation rules for rallying, there were a number of slightly de-tuned road-going cars produced. The i240 was pretty much the last of the line, with all of the optional goodies thrown at it. Including Irmscher's "400 road kit" which is basically the arch extension as shown in the first picture. Both very rare cars and I'd be more than happy to own either of them. I properly love Opel Mantas!
  5. Opel Manta - either a genuine i240 or, far less realistically, a genuine homologation 400! Pontiac Trans-Am - specifically, a Smokey & The Bandit model (no idea what year that means!) Other than those, the only car I ever really swore to myself that I'd own (and this is the truth) is the car I do own - a Shortie 300ZX TT manual. :) I'm a man of simple tastes, really...
  6. Black and gold nose badges are available from Z1 in the States. That's where I got my red and silver one from.
  7. The 30 day refund one is, I think, a problem in the making. You get some waster who buys a car and then finds out he can't insure it (after driving away, of course). All he has to do is knacker the car and he gets all his money back, through absolutely no fault of the seller's!
  8. Baby oil.... :tt2:
  9. I used to do bodywork many many years ago and it's sooo much more difficult than most people first imagine! That looks suspiciously like one of those colour-flip TVR colours to me... am I right...?
  10. That'd spoil my diet... :( Me and Fran would be up for it, mate. Be nice if we could get the likes of Paul and Josh along (as well as "the usual suspects") if we have one this year too :thumbup1:
  11. Boy, are they in for a shock when they arrive!! It's all trout-pouts, orange skin and basketball-norks... they'll be going straight back home again!
  12. There was a previous thread a while back about this very car. And I, of course, was quick to comment about that superb auto gaiter!!
  13. Are we thinking of having a Xmas meal this year, North Easterners? No, I don't want to organise it - I'm just wondering if we fancy having one or not. :)
  14. Who's on the stand this year?
  15. I hope you'll be putting a Smokey & The Bandit front on it, Baz! Always wanted one of these but, like my Zeds, it'd have to be the T-top version. Looking forward to seeing some pics once she's in your possession! :thumbup1:
  16. One cause for alarm is that there's no mention of when the engine was rebuilt. It may well be "brand new" but, if it's been sitting for a few years, then a few "new" parts would likely need changing pretty much straight away. Interesting how the seller states that they have only some of the receipts for the internals and no mention of the "Zedworld" receipt for the actual build.....
  17. It's on Gumtree with the same description, Jeff. Not one of yours then, I'm guessing....
  18. Ok, I've decided to sell my strut brace after all. Alloy centre bar with (currently) Candy Red towers. Bolts and Nyloc nuts were brand new in April this year. New owner would more than likely want to repaint / powdercoat the towers. :) The centre bar has a small indentation in the centre where the clips for the underbonnet fire mat seem to rest on it. :( Looking for £45 delivered.
  19. I'm not going anywhere, don't you worry...! :thumbup1:
  20. So just panels, not seats as well? I'd charge around £350 - £400 for that lot.
  21. Define "the whole interior" please!
  22. 50% of an update today - I've just finished changing all the illumination and resistors in my new S2 climate control pod (thanks, Baz) and refitted it. :) It now lights up in red, with white telltales :) Just the ECU to change out now. Reading up on it, it sounds like fun (not)!
  23. Definitely not the first person to "upgrade" from a Celica - there's a few on here, myself included, who've done so. :thumbup1:
  24. I may have only been doing this full-time for just over a year now, but I've come across my share of bad customers already. Some just want to keep trying their luck, some want the price to reduce partway through a job! Thankfully, they have (so far) been few and far between for me. But I know they exist and they are, sadly, a reality of any business.
