  1. When I was thinking about a change, the only car that came close was the S2000. Also - they wont be making any more of these so they will (eventually) become collectible. Brilliant cars...
  2. Update - I have managed to fix all of the points ready for the MOT retest on Friday except the headlight adjustment. I have finally got hold of the Tamiya gears that I need (thanks a lot to Danny). Should have all of this fixed tomorrow arvo. Went for a set of Falkens in the end, they have good reviews about grip and durability and they are not a bad price. Thanks a lot to everyone for their help and support. Mike...
  3. The title of your thread is misleading! I live north of watford. You live north of pretty much everyone! LOL.
  4. That's not a lowrider. This is a lowrider second one down with a "cheech and chong" steering wheel! Love it...
  5. Mine occasionally does this too. it is a solenoid I think. there was a thread about this a while back (search and ye shall find). mine is a series II and I find I don't get the clicking noise if I direct some of the air flow to the footwell. have you tried this?
  6. Check this out ULTIMA
  7. So it looks like it is slightly bigger than previously and the servo/booster has been changed. This one definitely has a brake stopper as well which improves the feel of the brake pedal. These are cheap to buy and easy to fit. well worth it IMHO...
  8. C'mon Dave, it looks sooooooo much better than any previous GTR. Is that a V6 engine I can see?
  9. Yep, thanks Ian, tested that one and it is fine. Anyone else?
  10. The trick is to buy a zed that someone else has already put a lot of work into. This wont stop you getting the bug but might save you a few quid on the way! Nice post by the way...
  11. Haven't touched the headlight yet, still waiting for the part to turn up. edit - that link worked but has now stopped for some reason! WTF? don't think it is a corroded earth either (just a hunch). Is there any fuse or relay I should be looking for?
  12. Hi everybody, My side lights (front positioning lights) have packed in. I have checked the fuse in the footwell and that looks good. All other lights are working fine. Is there a relay under the bonnet or any other fuses for the side lights that I need to check? What should I be looking for?
  13. I think if you buy a good one it can be very reliable. I'm on my second Zed and I can't think of anything I would rather drive. FYI - there is a lovely black NA manual for sale on Zclub, going cheap!
  14. No Sarah, you have got the wrong end of the stick! it was working fine for a number of months but then stopped. They can produce a replacement but they would have to wait until someone ordered a full NA set and then they could pinch the TT dial out of it. I could be waiting some time if I went down that route. Wozzer - I will give you a call matey... Thanks all
  15. The original was bad, and this cover from Carphone Winehouse is just p1ssing me off now. She used to be good, her debut album "Frank" was inspirational...
  16. Hi guys (& girls), I need to ask a favour. I have recently found that my speedo dial has broken and all of the dials came in a pack that contained both non-turbo and turbo dials. I would like to appeal to any of you that bought a set for your NA and do not need the turbo speedo dial. I am willing to pay for it, but this route will be a lot easier than getting a replacement from the manufacturers, as they only produce the full kit. The following members all bought these dials so I am appealing directly to you: Aaronkizmet, Adef, BAZZ, Big Marty, Daves_Zed, Devil, Fairladyzgirl, Gordy2885, HH300ZX, icu812, JJP, Komarme, Iahsx, Niceguyindahous, sixpenz, SRRAE, Stevie, Wozzer Thanks a lot, Mike...
  17. I am putting a warning up to all those who were part of the group buy on the indiglo dials. My main speedo cluster stopped lighting up the other day. I finally got a chance to investigat the problem today and found the problem. where the connections join the dial, it has cracked and kind of melted! The problem is the connection is a little too big to fit in the housing so it needs to be bent slightly. I will be contacting MyGarage to arrange a replacement as soon as I can but I thought that I am unlikely to be the only person affected by this. I thought I should add some pics for those that are interested...
  18. thanks guys, I have made some progress today and can tick at least 2 of the 5 fail points off the list. There is more help required though - my side lights at the front are not working. I have checked the fuse in the footwell and all looks good, I was thinking it could be the relay under the bonnet. Is this a possible cause for them to fail?
  19. Thanks John, I have just been speaking to Danny. he should be able to sort these out for me. I am really not looking forward to taking the headlight out though! Thanks James but those dimensions are too big for me. I need 2x 235/18/40 and 2x 265/18/35. I am going to try tyretraders.com in a moment. Thanks for the quick responses...
  20. Hello everybody, The Zed failed its MOT this morning  nothing too serious or expensive but a few little pain in the @rse jobs. The main thing I need your help for is the passenger side headlight needs adjusting but the mechanism is FUBAR. How can I adjust it now? Also - where is the cheapest place to buy 4x TOYO Proxes? Thanks guys (and girls)...
  21. It shouldn't neccesarily damage your engine at 19psi as long as your not getting any det. The intercoller and injector upgrades will help here. From my (limited) understanding the stock tubs just get a little inefficient after about 17psi as they produce so much heat. Would like to see the difference in results... P.S. I have no idea what bhp you will get, it depends if it has all been setup properly yet.
  22. adrian flux shoule be able to help but I doubt it will be cheap!
  23. looks good. a little more modern...
  24. I couldn't agree more! It's a bit of fun, it's not like there showing the short and curlies.
