You don't need boost jets but it does sound like something is wrong. It could be a number of things. sorry, I know that is not much help...

I don't think you will need to worry about those issues as all the engine parts will be new, just go for a straight through system. This should help it spool up quicker too. :dance:

Yeah, I had a lot more car parts than I thought LOL. we meet up every now and again during the week but it is more normal to meet on the weekend. especially now the evenings are drawing in...

It took the vast majority of the weekend but I am finally out of the old place. It was a bit emotional as I lived there for nearly 3 years and it was my first home :( Moved in with a couple of guys I don't know very well but I think they will work out OK. Jap everytime! Auto gearboxs are really quite good compared to other cars. but manual 'box makes it feel a lot more like a sports car rather than a GT.

OK that kind of makes sense. Probably the only thing I haven't really tested is the actual EBC controller. I will try to get it to overboost then disconnect it. I hope you are right Eric cos I should be able to fix the problem myself if you are. Thanks again, Mike...

It seems strange that the EBC could be the problem when it also happens when the EBC is off? :wack: I'm confused...

Hi Eric, The EBC solenoid is in a place where it could potentially get wet, but I have already tried a second EBC solenoid in case and this produces the same results. All hoses have been checked by myself, john dixon and martyn so this should not be the problem. I presume it is acuators or wastegates but it is strange how it does not overboost if I don't turn the EBC on at all. It only happens if I turn on the EBC (regardless of settings) or after I have turned it off. I want it fixed :mad: :( :mad:

Thanks but I have an overboosting situation when the controller is OFF, but only if I have turned it on and then off again. It is a bit complicated but I presume when it runs at higher boost something mechanical is sticking shut. then when I turn off the EBC I still get the same problem until the car has cooled down again. Can you help exaplain this?

IIRC there is a link in an old thread that explains it in pretty clear english. This is the best route to go because you will know how to adjust it for yourself rather than just copy someone else's. I use fireworks to resize my gifs. I think the quality is good enough. Most forums don't allow animated avatars. We are lucky on here...
