Well It used to? I dont agree about it "Only Being a Car Club" though Bri. After a couple of years it became more than that to me. I havent seen anything what Andy started the thread about? I aint been around as much though so thats probably why. BUT! The place has gone down hill over the last year. Too much intervention by the committee. It has been run almost like a military organisation. If you make too many rules it becomes so much easier to break them. AND with the constant threat of being banned for speaking your mind are you really supprised? Some people have taken the place over and at every turn members have protested about not having a say and being able to choose the committee. Myself being one of them. These have been ignored and therefore the result is this subject. Thats my answer to the question. But as you all know i am not one to keep my mouth shut or as the facts are.....fingers still? I say it as i see it and thats exactly how I see it. Now I wonder how that will go down? I too dont think I will re-subscribe here unless things change. Simple as that. If thats the feeling among the members then there must be something wrong? So there you have it. An explanation from a fairly long term fully paid member. You asked. But I'll get me coat anyway?
  3. Its a good job that some body invented the BRIDGE a while back.
  4. I was thinking exactly that Steve. 3D? Do you have to wear stupid glass' or are they OK? Not sure how the 3D technology has moved on from the last 3D film I saw about 10 years ago. LOL. :D
  5. Sounds to me like if it hadn't have been there you would of ran out of petrol and been left sitting in the cold for a lot longer? I think I would be praising them for having a place where you can get petrol when every one has gone home.
  6. Glad to hear it was only a frightener Paul. I s'pose theres a lesson to be learned here. Get a fiesta as a daily drive.... :D
  7. It wont be long before it will be cheaper to be an alcoholic then a motorist.
  8. I am not a great lover of the R32. The R33 does it for me and had that have been the choice the R33 would have won. But thats easy for me to say coz I have a R33 and a 300ZX. :D But none the less its not an easy choice. There is a very big influx of Skylines at the moment and prices are going to start falling soon IMO. I know of a R32 GTR in red selling for £4500. Not V spec I dont think though. ????Get the Skyline.....................I'll get me coat. :D
  9. You sound like an expert so I wont argue. :x:
  10. I dont own a GTR. I have a GTS and a Z32. and a motorbike too. And yes I could afford to get one on the drip but thats more debt and my venture would be one of a financial slim down so what I meant is not the running costs but the initial outlay for the car. I have thought over the last couple of years about different cars, like I said I'm a dreamer but after my experiance with a brand new MGZT I will wait until any car has been proven before I buy and also avoid all those stupid taxes that you pay when buying new. :D EDIT: But yes at that price it is a bargain. :D
  11. I have always been a bit of a dreamer. But then so is everyone if they care to admit it. I like this new car and if the opportunity arose I would get one. I did used to aspire to getting a 350Z but as time went on the fondness dwindled. I have a skyline and a 300ZX now but the need for 2 cars as also dwindled. One nice replacement for the two would be the answer. But I aint got the odd £40K hanging around yet. :D
  12. Well. If you can accept the 350Z is a Z33 and that is the natural successor to the Z32 then look at the Skyline GT30 which is and has been on the market for the last 6 years or so and is basically the same shape with different touches as the 350Z. That being the case then the Z32 / Skyline relationship has already started. So as for the new GTR being in some way similar to the Z32 its no surprise? Look at it from a marketing view. If Nissan can get all the Skyline owners and the Z32 / Z33 owners into one car, the overal costs of production will halve. A good plot by the Frenchpanese. :D
  13. Is it going to be a Twin Turban? ( I know thats Indian) but it sounded good.
  14. I dont eat breakfast? BUT! lunch dinner and tea....yes! In days gone by I might have had a few things to say but I am more refined these days and leave it to the younger and newer members. :D Its pointless really to talk about taking action. It wont work. they dont and wont listen. :headvswal I have come to the conclusion that if this all comes into fruition then I might just strip my car out and turn it into a track car? They surely wont ban them too? The only problem there will be finding another car with enough power to pull the trailer. :D
  15. I have the evidence to prove he is innocent:
  16. AND! we would be doing the right thing by conserving fuel. :D
  17. The Venga boys. I tell you what at the big meet next year we should all do the zed dance and make complete fools of ourselves that lots seemed to be having fun. :D
  18. Now I couldnt think of a better name. Can someone tell me WTF this is all about: http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=rFIU36Qrw58 I just wish it was as that easy for me to have fun.
  19. Now thats is a noise. My son (who couldnt see the screen) said WTF is that I told him it was a fiesta and he nearly fell out of hes chair. :D
  20. Fair play a decent heads up. I think it just went a bit off the beaten track. :D
  21. Where will the line be drawn? By that I mean what will be classed as the bottom of the range as far as a large car is concerned. Will it be 3000cc 2500cc or as little as 2000cc. If its been posted already sorry I aint read it all. :D Will it all change when Tesco's are the government? At least then you will get club card points when you go to the JAE. :D The pay as you drive option sounds the better of the worst. When you consider the cost of fuel and the cost of tax calculate the lot together for each journey then at around 15MPG and £200 PA the zed might prove cheaper to run under those rules? especially if Insurance goes that way too.
  22. Welcome mate. I cant help but wonder? Why if you are getting a 300zx and want to join here did you use the GT4 name? Not knocking it. everyone to their own but I was just wondering. :D You could have been tommy300zx@hotmail.
  23. Thats the thing Richard you have to do a bit of shopping to get the deals. I got my first number for my MG ZT it was M6 RVR from personallyyours.com and it was about £550. My Z number was £450 and the B15NOP on the skyline was again about £550. these are inclusive prices. Reg Transfers wanted over £700 inclusive for the B15NOP number when i did an online enquiry. The best I have seen just lately is http://www.plates4less.co.uk/ but no doubt they may still be beaten?
  24. A proper reg dealer will sell you the exclusive rights to the number. It costs what you pay for the number and the fee of £80. + V.A.T. Most of them give you the option to buy the plates already made for you at extra cost. You dont have to buy the plates the optioin is there at the checkout either tick or un-tick the box? These companies are directly connected to DVLA and they all use the same Database. there is no way any of the proper dealers can rip you off. They might charge a bit more for the acctual cost of the number but thats your choice to pay that price or try and search a lower price from another dealer. The price of £105. is for reg transfers from one car to retention certificate. You will not be charged the extra £25 if the number is going onto a car. If the company are trying to charge this then walk away they are not a proper company. Unless the price has gone from £80 to £105 in the last 2 months or so which is when I transfered my number over to my Skyline?
