  1. haven't tried it personally but did used to fit vinyl as a job. the problem with wrapping the dash would be that due to the textured finish the vinyl probably wouldn't stick to it very well and even if it did, probably wouldn't stay stuck for very long. As for the chrome wrap, it is slightly thicker than normal vinyl and harder to work round more shaply items, on a resonably flat surface it is fine though.
  2. don't worry, he reads anything with the words lights or illuminated in the title
  3. no, he'll already have some rear lights at his, he will make them for you how ever you want them. he'll then post them to you and you'll have to post yours back to him when the new ones are fitted. simple.
  4. i had mine made for me by phutumsch (a member on here) because i had never seen ones like this before so wanted to be different, i've now had the lines continued into the reverse light panel to make it look a bit more different. to be honest he did an amazing job with both items and i would highly reccommend his work to anyone! he did have a set like mine for sale on ebay a couple of weeks ago that went for about £130.
  5. i've got the same lights on my one ....
  6. Thanks mate, i'll let print off this page and reel of the options to to mechanic tomorrow. if i spend much more cash on my car my missus is going to cut my nuts off with something blunt and rusty!!!! :sweatdrop:
  7. thanks for the help mate, i've done most of them, and the garage has probably done the rest but i will ask them about the ones i haven't marked as done tomorrow. its just a bid odd in my opinion that it only seems to have the problem when cold. this car is really annoying me and my bank account at the moment!!:surrender:
  8. for those of you who remember, I had a cold start issue with my zed causing it stall after about 15 seconds after starting. the problem wasn't too bad at first but just got worse and worse as time went on. the car has been in the garage for 2 weeks now. they first diagnosed the problem as it being the aav and pipes, so with help and parts from mark derby (thanks mate) these have now been fitted and have half solved the problem. thing is now it doesn't stall after 15 seconds, it lasts 1 1/2 minutes then starts running crap again till the engine is warm. the mechanic has said he's guna try and have another bash tomorrow once the engine is cold again. he said something about the hks filter and hard pipes (not really sure what he was going on about though) The question is, does anyone else have any ideas on what could be the problem so i can let him know tomorrow when he rings me again. the good news is i can definately get the car back by the weekend for santa pod :thumbup1:
  9. Happy Birthday mate :thumbup::thumbup:
  10. looks like alot of time and effort has gone in so far mate, not to my taste (no offence) but i suppose if everyone did things the same it would be a bit boring. like you said though, once painted it will all come together.
  11. hello again mate, what has happened to your engine then?
  12. that zed looks the nuts mate. wish mine looked as good as that. i LOVE those wheels, always wanted them ever since i first saw them! wana swap rims :thumbup1:
  13. cheers for the info mate. based in colchester myself, i have to rely on local garages. i always go to t&m autos for any problem and although they are extremely good with fault finding and the work they do, they seem to be pretty slow at getting the jobs done. my zed has been with them for over a week while they were trying to figure out my cold start problem. they diagnosed it quickly so i bought the parts i needed from mark derby, had them sent directly to the garage (which they would have received thursday morning) but they said they won't be able to fit them till next week sometime. only good thing is they always rolling road it when they are finished for some reason, which is handy as i just had the ecu chipped and want to see if it has made any differance to the bhp from last time it was there.
  14. Happy birthday baz. Hope you have a good one
  15. matbe i'll take mine on the strip against you then, i fancied having ago but don't want to go up against a turbo or something that makes me look like i'm not moving
  16. i've got my stand pass now. thanks for posting it :thumbup1:
  17.:thumbup:payment on its way any minute and some rep coming yourway too for being a legend!
  18. cheers mate, when you let me know the final cost all in for guarenteed next day delivery i'll get the payment straight over to you as i hate not having my car and want it back asap!
  19. excellent news mate. will you be able to post out for next day delivery? if so let me know how much extra you will want? would you prefer me to pay via paypal or give you cash at japshow?
  20. in that case mate i will definately take them. i don't want to have to miss jap show!!!
  21. i'll take it then! i'm guessing all the hoses are in good nick? as the garage are moaning about second hand parts.
  22. My zed has been given to the garage at last to figure out my cold start running issue and they have diagnosed it as being the auxilary air valve and 2 hoses. i am waiting on a call from jeff at zed world to see if he has them or can get them but if this is a dead end, where can i get them quickly (and don't say nissan as there is a 3 week wait if they can get them at all!) the part numbers are 22660-30p10 14099-30p02 14099-30p01 Please someone help me :helpsmilie:
  23. looking amazing mate  wish i had the money and skill to do something like this. although it's a shame you can see the toyota branded engine through the rear hatch cover.
  24.$1.99 starting bid? what exactly would you get if you won the auction?
  25. i just tried to take a peek and it's been removed
