  1. never dunk! i hate finishing my tea and finding bits of biscuits at the bottom :hurl:
  2. doesn't mean we can't convoy to a pub though
  3. if i was closer i'd have them for practising drifting.
  4. i'll be there, trying to talk my mate with his eclipse turbo to come and another mate with an evo8 to come (they probably won't bother though)
  5. i ususally get around 22 mpg from my n/a but that could be due to my erratic driving style
  6. the important question, is there a pub near by?:thumbup1:
  7. sound good to me mate. see you then.
  8. your a genius when it comes to lighting bits and pieces with el sheets, this would be a walk in the park for someone with your skills! and even if you could only make light up show plates, i'm sure there would be a very long line of customers.
  9. name the time and i'll make sure i'm there!
  10. it can be too dificult to knock up a pair of these, suprised phutumsh hasn't already started making them
  11. I'll be up for that too, car still ain't fixed yet but that's not guna stop me!
  12. i know the car that you are talking about, this is not the same one. I don't think the bloke who owns the one near me has even tried selling it before. He is only toying with the idea of selling/stripping now since i was mentioned to him as being an enthusiast and that i could possibly help him get a few quid for it.
  13. unfortunately he doesn't want another one, as in his own words they are money pits, i agree with this but i would have said a labour of love myself. That is a nice zed you have there! if i had the money, i would have had that off you! but i've sunk pretty much all my money into my "labour of love" or "money pit".
  14. I was asked by a friend to come and have a look at his mates red uk tt auto zed as he's thinking of parting with it. I was told that the car had been sitting for quite a long time, but it was once a cover car. When i got there, the car looked quite nice from a distance, nice kit, very nice wheels etc. When i got close up though, i could tell that it was in a very bad state of disrepair. There was mold and moss in various places, the laquer was peeling and had blatently not had a single once of love for god knows how long! I had a little feel under the blended skirts only to find the sills literally turning to dust! such a shame, as the bloke told me when he bought it about 5 years ago it cost him 9 grand!!!! Any way i let the bloke know that as far as the shell is concerned, it had pretty much had it and not to get his hopes up on getting much for it. I did say to him however that if broken would be worth quite a bit (no where near the price he paid for it though). I was going to take some photo's to see if anyone recognised it or not and if anyone was interested in buying it to strip, but as soon as i went to take the photo's the battery in my camera died. i will be getting some photo's of it in the next few day to put up so if anyone is interested then get in contact
  15. looks good mate. i really love z's in white!! is that a sierra cossy in the back ground? i miss my saph so much!
  16. i just contacted the seller about the car to see what he had to say, here is what i said:- hello mate, i remember going to see this car when it was up for sale in colchester. is the engine runnin properly now as it was very lumpy before. also have the targa's been fixed as the carpet was soaking on the passenger side when i last saw it. thanks, dave. Here is what he said:- hi fella the last chap hadnt a clue as to y it wernt runnin properley,i tookm it apart and found that the wireing for the injector on middle bank wer rotten, found alot of split hoses and the rocker gasket was non xsistent even had to replace the fuel pipe with correct grade fuel pipe and not jus 3mm rubber pipe, car now runs sweet but still slightly lumpy on tick but drives real smooth now,and the roof hasnt leaked since i had it cos i had a hose going over it to check i think it may have been a water hose that ive repaired or something, turbos work ok its just the issue of loss of water now but am driving it around just keep topping it up. so maybe he isn't as dishonest as i first thought.
  17. good point pete. didn't even think of that:oops:. either way though, there is still no mention of the wet floor in the advert.
  18. consider it done mate :thumbup1:
  19. sorry to hear about the accident mate. hope that you are alright!
  20. I have just noticed that the zed i was asked to look at about a month ago by another member has been put up for sale again. It did sell on ebay last time and obviously the new owner has realised what an old dog he won. just a warning to anyone out there that was considering on bidding on it, don't bother. he's blatently lied on the new ebay listing about non leaking ttops, as when i saw it, it had a small pond in the passenger side footwell. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/nissan-300-zx-twin-turbo-/180948466050?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2a215e7982
  21. thanks for the offer mate. even if they do fix it, let me know if your down this way as it would be good to meet some of the other (reasonably) local zed owners.
  22. i'm praying that what ever the garage do is going to sort out the problem, because although it doesn't really affect anything other than starting the car, it's really pi55in me off now!!!
  23. i think you are probably right about there being a fuel leak, i have had a look around the fuel filter and followed the pipes but can't see anything obvious, i'm thinking that it may be the pipes under the engine cover (which while it's at the garage will be getting replaced). but surely that wouldn't be the route cause of the starting issues would it?
  24. i'm going to my local expert, T&M auto's. they have never let me down before. guna leave it with them while a go away for a weekend break(hopefully i'll come back to a fully functioning car). i have had a little look but don't really know a massive amount about these cars, i did have it hooked up to datascan last weekend but that didn't shed any light on any problems, not even a single error code.
  25. it seems that my starting problem is just getting worse and worse with every day!!! usually it stalls once after starting when cold, then runs fine on the second start. but as the time goes by its just stalling more and more! this morning it stalled 4 times before deciding to run properly but absolutely stunk of petrol all the way to work. the zeds holiday to the car doctor next week can't come fast enough!!!
