i've just bought one of these of ebay. my car is going into carisma tomorrow for a test fitting before they paint it. should have it ready and fitted by the weekend:clap:

wasn't there a discussion about this a while back? think i remember someone saying that it will only be a problem with newer cars that don't come with them as standard. i could be completely wrong though (i usually am:blink:)

it is good for all the black exterior plastics and rubbers, works much better than anything like that back to black for keeping the colour from fading.

i got a bottle of peanut oil to mine with too. although since buying it, i have either not had a chance because i've been too busy or as usual its been pi55in down with rain. saying that though, i have just replaced my targa's and the new one's leak alot less than my old ones. i would obviously prefer no leak at all so will just have to find the time as soon as poss.

thanks to mark for organizing everything. me, my missus and little boy had a fantastic time! first show we've been to in the zed and after that we'll definatley be up for some more in the future. although after seeing some of the other zeds, i'm guna have to start working a bit harder in getting my zed sorted.

i had an xtrons flip out dvd player in my saph, it was really cheap but suprisingly good quality and packed with various features including bluetooth, rear camera, usb, sd card etc etc. would have put it in my zed if the saph hadn't been nicked and torched.

yep. once you've done it once you realise how easy it is. probably the hardest part is getting the power lead through from the engine bay into the car. if you were closer to me i would happily do it for you, i've fitted so many in the past, i've lost count. infact my zed is the only car i have ever owned that i haven't put a massive system in straight away. the beemer tourer i had last year had a 4000w system in the back!

i haven't spend anywhere near that on mine and it shows, but i still wouldn't get rid! if i had of spent that much i would never sell it, i would probably keep it till the day i died and then get buried in it :) as for the key mark, its happened before on other cars and no doubt it will happen again in the future. no matter what you do, there will always be some tw4t who is jealous of what you've got. but i'm a believer of what goes around comes around, so hopefully whoever it was that scratched my car gets their payback by having his b*ll*x cut off!

first things first. don't sell it! giving up is for quitters! All zeds have small niggly problems, they are all old jap cars. those who say they don't are either lying or have spent an absolute fortune on theirs. i haven't owned mine for that long, but when it plays up, it sometimes crosses my mind to get shot but then i feel like slapping myself as i've always wanted a zed and although mine is far from mint, i love it!!! i also know what you mean about not leaving it where you can see it! your definately not sad. the first week i owned mine, i took it into town, left it in the car park only to come back to find some c**t had run a key down the passenger side.

hello mate. basically, you've got to 1 wire a positive live from the battery to the amp 2 wire the amp to the head unit via rca's and a remote cable 3 wire the ground to some clean unpainted metal, ussually the rear light earth point. 4 wire each speaker you want powered to the amp 5 sit back and enjoy :dance:

unfortunately not. the only other wheel you could possible fit would be a 112 but only with wobble bolts.

i only bid £54, honestly didn't think i was going to win it for that. at the moment my z is still wearing the standard n/a front bumper. i did buy a veilside style bumper but decided it was just a bit too tacky, i prefer the cleaner smoother look. still need some side skirts though so thats next on the list. i have got a photo somewhere. i'll dig it out in a bit and post it up. first things first. i don't use snipe software. i just sit and wait like a real sniper (plus the other half was watching some soppy chick flick so had nothing else to do). i would love to drive all the way to somerset to pick it up, but i'm lazy, so i'll be getting a courier to pick it up for me for nothing (thanks to my work, who never check the courier bills:thumbup1:) i should get it tuesday which means i've got 4 days to get it to the painters and onto the car before santa pod. probably won't get done that fast though knowing my luck. sorry again to the others bidding on this! it's just i wanted it slighty more than you :)

my z was doing the same a little while back. everyone on here said it sounded like the maf, so i took it off cleaned it up, put it back on and it made no difference what so ever. I then took it to a local auto electrician, thinking it was going to cost a fortune. after an hour or so of him poking around, it turned out to be a loose connection (i think it was on 1 of the coilpacks or somewhere around there on the top left hand side of the engine). i didn't understand how it caused the engine to run so bad, but he said that when it f**ks up, the ecu makes the engine run in safe mode. i'm not mechanically minded so i have to take his word on this.
