I had to top it up last week, so I assume so. It has been a bit smokey recently, I just assumed that it was because it has been so cold recently.

What would explain the oil smelling smoke from the exhausts then :(

As you all probably know, my zed has suffered from a few issues in the past that I have either fixed or learn to live with. Yesterday, I was driving home from work nice and gently. Stopped to buy my lottery tickets, then carried on with my journey. That's when it started, a knocking noise coming from the engine :( I thought I would take it to be looked at today, hoping it wasn't to serious. I have now been told that it was the little ends making all that racket and that I was either going to have to fork out for a rather expensive fix or a new engine. Not what I needed tho hear! Obviously I'm not mechanically minded, so question is..... Is the garage right? Is this going tho be an expensive fix or replacement engine time? If it is, then I don't know if its actually worth it, as my clutch bearing is noisy, so that also needs doing and with the cold running issue and the various rust issues that all also need sorting, maybe its time to throw in the towel. And to make things worse, I didn't win with my lottery ticket!

It doesn't just happen to the cheap tyres though, my saph had goodyears on the back, and both of them bulged.

They look like wanli tyres.

Holy 5hit!! Lucky that didn't blow on the way to you!! My old saph used to keep doing that to tyres, was told it was because the suspension was so low and stiff, so the tyres were taking a beating. Don't know how true that is though. Although, you can tell when its happened as the car starts to shake and vibrate at ever low speeds.

Looks like I'll be heading down to tescos tomorrow then to see if I can get myself a copy.

I've got 10j on the rear of my zed. i went for 165 35 18s and I haven't had any issues even with 2 of my mates crammed in the back seats.

Less travel and more money!...... Can't be bad mate, especially with the fuel costs of that big manly ram.

I have this, feels like its pulsing. Mine does it when I'm driving at 30 In 3rd gear.

when I came tho see you it was hidden away in the garage. Whats wrong with it, if anything? Is it drivable? How much are you after for it?

Anyone around Merseyside that could possible have a look at this for me to see if its actually worth buying. I know its got a missfire, but was hoping someone who knows what they are doing can take a look to see if its a ****ed cylinder or something easily repairable. I'm not to bothered about the body work as I would probably pull the engine out for my zed anyway. EBay item number 261172625536.

Plus even if it is a standard TT engine, it would be better than my n/a lump. Just got to convince my other half that its a good idea first :)
