For a while now my z has had an issue with running when cold. It was partly solved when I had the aav replaced, but not completely. The garage that did the work said that problem may be down to the ecu? I did borrow a ecu and try to see if it made a difference but it didn't. I'm starting to think that the garage didn't realize the zed had a separate ecu for the fuel pump and was wondering if this may actually be the issue. Before the aav was replaced the revs dropped right down from start up. Now it last for about 30 seconds until the revs drop. Once the engine is warm, it runs fine. Also, I've notice that the fuel pump is humming louder when the revs are low. Question is... Is this issue down to the fuel pump ecu or the fuel pump itself? Or is it something completely different?

My speedo only ever works when it feels like it, same goes for my power steering but the 2 don't seem to be linked as they both go on and off at completely different times. My zed a manual n/a, the the question is.... Is it the speed sensor at fault or the kph 2 mph convertor? Also the speedo has occasionally jumped round and sat off the scale (roughly where 200mph would be if it went that high), would this be part of the same issue? Sorry for jumping in on this thread.

Think I may well have to do that for now as I'm having trouble finding one at the moment. Although, doesn't the import maxima have the same engine as the na z?

As the title states, if my fan belt doesn't stop squeaking then I'm guna need to be locked away in a secure mental home! Tried to tighten but its is still squeaking. Where can I get one asap for my 90 na import? Please some one help before I get a high powered rifle and start stalking and killing all the 300s I can find.

Is that to stop dishonest mot centres from ripping people off and selling false mots? My brothers old prelude hadn't had a real mot for the 4 years he owned it. Luckily for every other road user, he crashed the death trap head on into a tree and wrote it off.

Yeah it does get a bit tedious on long journeys, especially with such a shit sound system aswell. Although I am thinking of finishing off the body work (skirts + rear bumper) this year and then selling the old girl to get a TT, and no I don't mean one of those horrible Audi's.

Would be better if it said, If it is too loud.. Then go f**k yourself :) God knows how they decide if its too loud? but to be fair, when I had it on the rolling road earlier in the year, the noise while inside an enclosed space is unbareable! The people from the building across the road all came out to see where all the noise was coming from.

As the title states, just had my mot today. And it FAILED! Luckily it was only for a few minor bits, for example.... Steering gator Head lamp adjustment Front number plate on the dashboard. Although while it was there, they snapped the hand brake cable somehow, so that also has to be replaced now. What did make me laugh however was an advisory because the exhaust was loud. Of course its loud, its a full stainless performance exhaust with decats. To be honest though, I knew it was going to fail because of the gator and number plate but I also thought it was going to fail because of the hid's, but was told that they are fine for mot but actually illegal for road use!? Bit strange if you ask me. Anyway, will be getting bit back on Monday once they have got the new hand brake cable in and sorted the other minor issues. I hate looking out the window and the zed not being there, maybe I'll just go to bed till Monday so that I won't have to see the empty driveway :)

You would be best to do the rear sides and back in dark smoke or limo tint, and by law your only allowed 30% tint on the front side windows. When i tinted my saph, the front barely made any difference so i would say hardly worth doin. Should look really good on a white zed.

just thought i'd share this vid with you lot. there seems to be a nice zed in there at about the 1.57 minute mark :thumbup: the zed is definately the best part of the video but there are a few amusing bits.

I'm guna be gettin a nexus in the next few weeks because they are one of the best tabs around for the money, plus my fake ipod (which I'm using now) is just too big and heavy to carry around and use while I'm out. Even now, its makin my wrist ache just holdin it up and typing.
