  1. Cheers mate, if I can't get it done this weekend then I'll let you know :)
  2. thought I'd see if there was anyone in Essex that fancy's giving me a hand at the weekend to fit my hicas eliminator as I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to anything mechanical. I will happily pay your petrol costs and even supply bacon (or whatever) sarnies and cups of tea? I should have all the tools to do the job, its just the know how I am lacking :)
  3. Happy belated birthday Gary, hope you had a good one mate!
  4. Found out the other day what my boss has planned for this years Christmas do. Usually we all go out for a Chinese buffet and then on to a good old fashioned pi55 up :) This year we are going gokarting and doing one of those grand Prix sessions. Really looking forward to this as havnt been karting for a few months now, only thing Is I was also looking forward to going out to get wasted as I never get to go out anymore (think I'll have to arrange a second unofficial do so I get to go out for a drink) Was wondering what everyone else will be doing for their works do?
  5. my hicas works fine but i'm not sold on it either. just bought the eliminator kit as I preferred the handling on the old n/a, plus the bushes are shot
  6. Didn't mean to sound like I was having a dig mate. I certainly am also not saying its a cheap venture either but with enough interest I reckon it could well be viable for these to be made.
  7. A bit of a defeatist attitude IMHO. I have always been a believer of " if you don't ask you don't get" Also, there are companies out there that make small numbers of parts for these and other aging vehicles that don't cost a fortune, take Carmad for example. To make this panel wouldnt be overly difficult to do ( in theory). It would be a simple case of making a mold of the outer shape of the 3 rear lights together, another mold of the rear ( without the main casing on). It would then be down to vacuum forming and colouring the lenses and selling it like that so that the public can do as phutumsch does and finish the mod themselves by removing the units lenses and fitting the new one. If whoever made the complete unit with the back casing also, then even better but much more expensive for the finished item.

  9. Pretty sure I remember seeing that there is a center panel to match those rear lights, either that or I am remembering a nightmare
  10. Very rare, thank god! Each to their own but I think they are awful! They don't suit the zeds smooth lines, they look dated and should have been left on the mk3 escort they probably fell off.
  11. Rip Paul, a great actor and a unfortunate loss of life!
  12. How would I know which turbo it would be that's causing the trouble ( if not both)? - - - Updated - - - What makes you say its the nearside mate?
  13. I am hoping and preying that your all wrong as with everything else recently I am completely broke :( A seized turbo is the last thing I need!
  14. On my way to work this morning in the zed (as I do every morning), once up to temp I gave it a bit of right foot only to be greeted with..... Nothing!? Tried again when I had a bit of empty road and again nothing, so (not as quickly as usual) made my way to work. On the way home this evening, again got the car up to temp and gave it some beans again and still nothing. Decided to pull over, stuck in in park and gave it a rev just in the hope I could hear anything but still nothing. Thought sod it, I'll get home and have a look over the weekend before I fit my hicas eliminator, pulled away and (as it says in the cilit bang ad) turbo power!? What could be the cause of the turbos not cutting in and suddenly working again?
  15. Cheers mate. Let's hope I don't FCK everything up
  16. My new japspeed hicas eliminator kit turns up tomorrow (hopefully), so with any luck, will be deleting the hicas this weekend. I've already been given the answer to joining the pipes at the front end? Now its just the fluid to top up the system afterwards. Is this it? http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductMobileDisplay?catalogId=10151&storeId=10001&productId=175466&categoryId=255219&langId=-1 How much will I need? And is there anything else I need or need to know before I attempt this?
  17. Either or mate, not sure how to do it off my pad, can you do it? :)
  18. For some reason I can't get this to work as a link!?
