Finally got a reasonable quote today. £364 with agreed Value, Legal protection, full roadside recovery etc and 5000miles allowance. Still got a couple more companies to ring so hopefully get it down a bit more, but finally getting closer to where it was last year.

I am waiting to here back from lynbrooks as of yet. Hopefully I'll get it sorted soon as I only have another 7 days to get it sorted. It just seems to get harder and harder to get a decent quote for every year that passes.

Yeah I know I don't acru ncb on a classic policy but just a bit pissed that it has over doubled since last year, and the only difference is it now has side skirts.

I'm still not having much luck with this issue. Had a quote this evening for £530 :( It doesn't help that because this is my daily driver, and I've been on a classic policy for over 2 years, my ncb has dissapeared. Don't think having a clean liceance again has made any difference what so ever. I'm not a happy chappy at the moment!!

What info does it have on the box/unit? Could you post a decent visible image?

We get classic insurance because our zeds are classed as classics :) Its usually the compare sites that don't count them that way.

I Still have a couple of weeks left to sort out my insurance, so will be making quite a few hours worth of phone calls in that time. I just need to get it as low as possible as I have loads of bits to sort out on the car at the moment, so money is pretty tight! (Especially as my weekly wages are MINISCULE!)

I'm not sure if the price has gone up due to the modifications, not that there is many, or because I've lost my ncb due to being on a classic policy for over 2 years.

Got my insurance renewal in the post the other day and it has more than doubled in price from last year! I was with sureturm, but as mentioned by si in a previous thread they no longer insure grey imports, or In their words " we advise that following a change in product range means we are not able to offer you a quotation through enterprise insurance group for you renewal". They did however go on to say that they have searched their panel of insurers and can insure me through Lancaster insurance for £527.77.... More than double the price of last year!!! I have been onto a few comparison sites and nearly all were quoting over £2000, one even wanted over £10,000! I have yet to ring around some of the specialist insurers as by the time I get home from work there isn't enough time. Has anyone else that were with sureturm had this issue? Any recommendations?

I only ask as I have just bought a pair of back boxes as I don't like my single exit exhaust, and I need a center section before I can think of fitting them :)

it was a real shame to break it as i did love that zed, i suppose your first is always fondly remembered! but all good things come to an end, and having the TT helps me forget the heartache :)

i ended up stripping it and bought myself a TT:)

What a shame to see such a stunning example of a car mullered like that especially after it had been treated and maintained so well by the previous owner.

after havin a chat with taff last night (thanks for the sfs hoses mate) i have been advised that the jap spec fogs take h1 bulbs. can anyone else confirm this as i have already ordered h3 on the info from rich.

Not only should they up the speed limit but they should scrap the bus lanes and change them to Zed lanes :lol:
